This cottage rests on the shores of Diamond Lake in Wawaka, IN. The lake is a quiet 10 mph lake perfect for fishing, kayaking, swimming or just enjoying time away. Come enjoy this relaxing retreat with great views and a cozy atmosphere.

The space
This cozy little cottage has a furnished kitchen, full bath, and a loft bedroom. Although the kitchen is fully furnished with pots, pans, utensils, etc., the cottage does not have an oven, just a stove top, toaster oven and a microwave. Please note that since the loft is short, it does not allow for standing room. The cottage includes modern amenities such as fiber optic WiFi and a Smart TV. The large deck is the perfect place to relax and soak in the views, and the fire pit area beside the shed is perfect for making s’mores after a day on the water. The hot tub is located on the deck, and it is open all year long. Parking is free, but please be aware that there are quite a few stairs leading from the parking area to the cottage and also from the deck to the lake. There is also a flight of stairs leading to the loft bedroom.

A short drive will bring you to the quaint little town of Ligonier, IN which is known for its gorgeous murals. Ligonier is the home of the Annie Oakley perfumery, the only perfumery in the US. Tours can be scheduled through the Annie Oakley website.

The Edna W. Spurgeon Woodland reserve is free to the public and is located a short 7 minute drive away. The reserve has hiking trails that wind through the woods, and there is free parking. Chain O' Lakes State Park is a 20 minute drive away, and also offers hiking trails that many of our guests have recommended.

The cottage is approximately half an hour from the tourist town of Shipshewana, IN which is known for its flea market and the surrounding Amish communities. Enjoy carriage rides, shopping at the local shops, and delicious homemade foods at restaurants like the Blue Gate Restaurant.

The location is central to cities like Goshen, IN and Kendallville, IN and is less than an hour away from Fort Wayne, IN.
