A cosy room with a private entrance and private toilet.

Refrigerator, microwave, kettle, coffee maker and hot plates.
Good location, close to Botanical Garden, shops, restaurants and café's.

About 40 minutes walk to the city center or a short bus ride.

The space

A private room in a three story house (we live on the second floor). The room is located on the lower ground floor with it's own entrance and own toilet across the hall.

There is no shower but the largest swimming pool in Iceland is located in 15 min walking distance. It's really worth the visit.

Kitchenette amenities include: A small refrigerator with freezer, microwave, two hot plates, a kettle, coffee maker and cutlery. There is no sink or oven in the kitchenette but there are sinks in the bathroom and laundry room.

The bed is 120 cm * 200 cm which fits 1-2 persons.

There is no one else living on the ground floor that shares this entrance but there are storages and a laundry room in the same hall that are used by two of the apartments.

The accommodation is next door (3 min walk) to Laugardalur, a large park which includes the Botanical Garden and a small Family Park and Zoo. On the other side of the park there is Laugardalslaug, the largest geothermal pool in Iceland.

Gym and spa within 5 min walking distance.

A bakery and a small supermarket are located 3 minutes away. There is a 4 minute walk to a small shopping area where there is a 24/7 store along with fast food restaurants (Saffran, Tokyo Sushi). It takes about 15 minutes to walk to Bónus (a low price supermarket).

The nearest bus station is 4 minutes away, Buses 14 and 19 go to the centre of Reykjavik.
Buses 14 and 19 also go to and from Reykjavík BSÍ Bus terminal, where the Fly bus stops.

It takes about 40 minutes to walk (5-10 min drive) to Reykjavík City Centre

Amazing little place. It was my second time visiting and I had a wonderful stay. The room and bathroom was very clean and tidy. Eva is such a kind host and helped make my stay perfect. It's in a perfect location not to far from downtown with bus 14 taking you there in under 15 minutes. The nearby pool is great to realex and i would recommen exploring the nearby park. Thank you for a wonderful stay... same time next year ?

Lovely little room on the ground floor of a larger property. Felt very much at home, and was great to have cooking facilities – Eva was incredibly quick to reply to my messages and I had a fantastic visit!

Eva's place is really nice. Spotlessly clean with all amenities except for a shower - which is clearly stated in the web ad. I was able to shower at the fantastic swimming pool which was a short walk away through the most delightful botanical gardens. Eva provided towels and bathing soap and shampoo. Eva also provided cooking equipment and basics such as tea, coffee etc. The location is not too far from Reykjavik city and there are reliable and affordable buses nearby as well as a supermarket, cafés and food take away venues. Eva was friendly, welcoming and responsive in all communication while I was there and I felt I was able to ask for anything I needed. The neighborhood is calm, quiet and safe and I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a simple and clean place to stay.

I had a truly fabulous time at Eva's place in Alfheimar. She was such a friendly organised host that made every part of my stay perfect. The room was fabulous with everything I needed fridge ,microwave and 2 hot plates and although it got very warm at night there was a fan in the cupboard. It was outside the city but a bus 14 took 14 minutes and it was much more homely than being downtown. It was an ideal location.. food was so close by with a Subway, Tokyo Sushi, Metro and KFC as well as a small shopping centre at the bottom of the road. I also visited a lovely outdoor pool just under 20 minutes walk. Eva helped me during my stay when I text her my queries but most of the needed info was in the info pack left I'm the room which was very helpful. The room was perfect for 9 days or longer and I made myself at home and felt very welcome by her and her family. I was so sad to leave my brief home but I would certainly go back or recommend it before I get the chance to :D

It is a very comfortable and warm room with a comfortable bed. Buses into town were convenient with the 5 being much faster than the 14 depending on where you want to go. The 5 to Hlemmur was fine since there is lots of stuff to see , two tourist information centres and a Bonus supermarket in Laugavegur on the walk from there downtown. Both buses take you to the bus station used by Reykjavik Excursions and you can walk from the apartment to the Greyline bus terminal in 15 mins. The Passion bakery at the end of the road was delicious. Also the pool with various hot tubs is great but is 20 mins away if you walk fast and 30 mins if you walk more slowly.
