If you are looking for a real get-away, look no further. 300 year old former farmhouse in Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Peaceful surroundings, stunning walks, beautiful beaches, clear night skies, lovely sunsets, yummy vegan breakfasts & no TV!
We are back after taking time out to care for Sime's Mum... We have a bright & airy DOUBLE EN-SUITE ROOM with large powerful shower in a quiet coastal hamlet.
We have several beautiful sandy beaches nearby (Hemmick is just a 10 minute walk down our lane) & the South West Coast Path is only a 5 minute walk away.
Out of season, the area is wonderfully quiet & there's nothing nicer than spending the day exploring the local coastline, then returning to curl up in front of the open fire, with one of our many books in the guest living room.
We include wholesome vegan breakfasts with either muesli or Simon's super food porridge & Kay's home made bread with preserves, or you can choose to have a delicious, freshly prepared, organic super juice of the day! Also included are towels, WIFI throughout the house & a kettle with complimentary herbal teas in the bedroom.
We use natural, vegan cleaning products (Bio D & Ecoleaf) & there is always vegan soap available for guest use.

Plenty of sunshine & mild winters makes for a great holiday all year round.

This was the first time I have stayed in an Airbnb and was unsure what it would be like. I needn't have worried. Kay and Simon are wonderful hosts. From the moment I arrived I felt very relaxed and the room was clean, comfortable and very peaceful. I enjoyed some amazing food, teas and chocolate cake and had a great time sharing bands, talking about travelling and putting the world to rights. I'm already planning to come back next year.
We had a wonderful time staying with Kay and Simon. They are excellent hosts with a perfect knowledge of the area they live in and they always try to share as much as possible of this beautiful clime. We really enjoyed our conversations with them, they are so witty! Our room was very nice and clean and we had our own bathroom. Also I would highly recommend Simon's porridge and Kay's homemade bread! Thanks for making our stay perfect! :-)
Our stay with Kay & Simon was brief but they were so welcoming and friendly. They gladly accommodated our different arrival time, provided a clean and spacious room, and an extremely comfy bed! In the morning we had a delicious homemade breakfast - we are not vegan but we thoroughly enjoyed it. We had a great chat with Kay and Simon - they were very interested and interesting! Great place to stay.
Kay & Simon were absolutely wonderful hosts. They home is very warm and inviting and they were more than willing to provide us with maps and information about the local area. We enjoyed a very tasty and healthy breakfast while having great conversation. Highly recommend staying at their home.
Kay and Simon are lovely hosts who will go the extra mile to make your stay pleasantly and comfortable. We felt really welcome. The room and the facilities are great. The house is in a small village and a beautiful beach is nearby. I recommend swimming in the very early morning. As soon as we are going back to Cornwall, we hope to stay with Kay and Simon and there son and cats again.
Kay and Si are really friendly, interesting and interested in you and know a lot about the area too. We really appreciated their advice.
Boswinger is only a few houses but the location is so good for being rura (and if you want somewhere quiet)l, and near to the beach, Lost Gardens of Heligan, St. Austell etc.
The bedroom and bathroom were clean and comfortable. There was a kettle in the room, along with mugs and cups which was a really thoughtful touch.
Breakfast was yummy.
We didn't convert to veganism, but we did love our conversations with Kay and Simon. They are lovely couple, very helpful, modest and social. The bedroom en suite was bright, comfortable and quiet. The beach, the coastal path and the picturesque fishing villages make a great walk. A stay before or after the Summer holidays is probably even better, less turisty.
Vegan, former home educating (unschooling) parents of 3 wonderful adult children & 2 cats.
We live in a stunning area of Cornwall, where we can be found cooking or eating & when we're not doing either of these - we'll be talking food! We also love walking, picnicking, live music, film, books, blogging (Just Humans Being) & road tripping!
We have our own green housekeeping business & are members of our local Transition Group. Simon plays bass with Cornish Indie band, The Dolphins Fly & Kay has an interest in vegan nutritional therapy & holistic diagnosis.
We have taken time out to care for Simon's Mum, who has dementia. She recently moved into a full time care facility, which has allowed us the freedom to get on with our lives again... So we are happy to be back in the Airbnb family! :-)
