Hurdle Cottage is a few minutes drive to historic Berrima, along Greenhills Road, which undoubtedly one of the areas most picturesque drives. Berrima village is famous for the Surveyor General (longest licensed pub), hatted restaurants, Harper's Mansion & Maze, markets, antiques and riverside walks. Just over the hill is Bowral - a regional hub with great retail shops, exceptional food, coffee and popular pubs. In the immediate neighbourhood there's a popular food & wine trail highlighted by: The loch, Joadja Distillery, St Maurs, Bendooley Estate and Joadja Estate. The Southern Highlands has a impressive events calendar: Tulip Festival, Pie Time, Food & Wine Festival, Writers' Retreats, Arts Trail, Historic Houses Open Days, Highland Fling, Bong Bong Races, country shows and village markets.
