This 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom house within steps of the Amtrak station in lovely Hudson is the perfect weekend (or week-long) getaway! Hardwood floors, backyard patio, full kitchen, all within walking distance of downtown Hudson's restaurants and bars.
If you're looking for a rural escape — or just a convenient spot while in Hudson for an event — we got you. Even though this house is right in downtown Hudson, making all the food, drink, shopping possible without getting into a car, it can feel very far away from city life. We encourage you to make use of the backyard, lounge, fire up the grill. The house has cable and wifi if you have to do work or want to relax with a movie. With three full bedrooms (plus a large couch downstairs), sleeping arrangements should be comfortable with a full house.
We'll provide a guest book full of tips of what to do in the area. Upstate New York is a blast to explore, whether you just want to walk to the bakery (Bonfiglio & Bread, on Warren Street), take a hike (Olana is only 15 minutes away and has gorgeous views) or lie around and read in the backyard (feel free to pull a book off the shelves.)
The whole house, plus backyard.
Interaction with guests
No interaction with guests; we manage this property remotely. (But we are available for any questions and have a manager in town.)
Other things to note
For those with cat allergies, note that cats used to live in this house. Also, the fireplace, as cute as it is, is non-working.
For those driving into town, street parking outside the house is very easy. The only thing to keep in mind is that the car needs to be moved to the opposite side of the street every day (why, we have no idea.)
Also, while we don't have a two-night minimum, on weekends (and holiday weekends), we prefer a full rental and will give preference to those who want to stay more than one night.
There's no smoking in the house — we recommend going in the backyard to smoke. Beyond that, just be conscious of our neighbors, who are lovely people.
