The space

Double room available in Walthamstow,, very close to the Olympic Park. The room has high ceilings and a lovely fireplace in a beautiful spacious 3/4 bedroom house. The bed can be used as a sofa too if more space is needed (but it's not your typical sofa bed, as it was bought for it's high quality mattress so is used more as a bed than a sofa bed) Another chair sofa bed can also be moved into the room which can be easily converted into a comfortable single bed (it also has a high quality mattress) if a twin room booking is needed. The room has a desk area and plenty of shelves so handy if you need to work during your stay, and also a wardrobe and plenty of storage. It overlooks the garden and is very quiet. There's also tea and coffee making facilities (but the kitchen is available to use too of course and a light breakfast provided if required) and a hairdryer plus ipod dock available too. There is free wifi with a very good speed and I also have a regular professional cleaner which is included in the price.

I am a live in landlady and I have one regular lodger who is here for 4 nights during the week and there is also a very friendly tabby cat! The house is really close to the Olympic park - just a short bus ride or cycle ride. I have a spare bike that you could borrow during your stay too. The house is also 5 mins walk from Wood Street overground station which is 17 mins into Liverpool Street, and 12 mins walk to Walthamstow Central tube station which is 15 mins to the West End. Snaresbrook (central line) which is just a few stops to Stratford and the Olympic park. Walthamstow 'village' is a 5 minute walk with it's lovely quaint character and plenty of restaurants, delis and pubs. 5 mins walk the other way is the beginning of Epping forest and a boating lake. There is free parking outside the house and there are always plenty of spaces as it's a quiet no through road, and there's also a zipcar located on the street for those of you that are members.

It's very easy to get here from Stanstead airport. There's a bus that is only £5 which stops at a tube station very nearby and then it's only £6.50 in a taxi from there, or you can continue on the same bus to Stratford and take a bus directly to the house from there, or continue to Liverpool street and take the overground line (17 mins) to Wood Street station nearby.

Victoria was a perfect host, she makes me feel at home. The place is located in Walthamstow which is an interesting area to see in London, and also close to transport. I stayed there for 2 months while I was looking for a flat after my move to London.

I had a great stay! The rail station was a short walk away and it was easy to get around to all the things I wanted to see and do. The place was clean and inviting! The bedroom on the ground floor can get a little noisy at night and in the morning, since you are between the front door and the kitchen. But it's alright if you are a sound sleeper. Victoria was a great host, making sure I had everything I needed, and leaving travel information in the room. I would recommend staying at her place!

I stayed at Tori's for a couple of months whilst I was temporarily working in London. It is about 15-20 minutes walk to Walthamstow Central underground station (zone 3), and 5 minutes walk to Wood Street station (zone 4) which takes about 20 minutes to get to Liverpool Street station on the Chingford overground line, which is very useful if you're heading back late. The house itself is spacious, kitchen was pretty much always free to use, I had the room upstairs and it was very quiet and I got a good, peaceful nights sleep every night! Tori is a lovely, chatty person and I felt quite at home throughout my stay! The regular lodger is also friendly, and the cat is lovely and meow-y.

I had a wonderful stay at Victoria’s. She was such a thoughtful host, always pleasant, easy going and up beat. The house is in a convenient location- a quick walk to the rail station. The room was tidy, and comfortable. The place has a strong wifi conection, and a friendly cat. The house is in a great neighborhood. I always felt safe. I was able to get everything I needed from the nearby shops. I thoroughly enjoyed my first trip to London and my stay at Victoria's. Highly recommend.

ohhhhhh.... it was such a PLEASURE to be in Tori's house! we had a great time, the house is so comfortable, quiet, beautiful, feels like being at home. ans she is so helpful, and sweet. Also so respectful, she didnt made any noise while we were sleeping. was GREAT being there. Also the neighbourhood is great, and not so far from the center. Well, i should stop writing good things, because when we are back in London we want to stay in her house, and we hope it will be free, :)

Victoria has a wonderful house in a quiet street of Walthamstow with a nice garden, a well equipped kitchen and a sweet cat:) The room is very comfortable and there is enough space to put your clothes and also a desk to write. Victoria offers plenty of information and useful tips of the neighborhood and what to do in London. She is a cool and interesting person as well always ready to have a chat and present her friends. I had a pleasant stay here and I am looking forward to comeback.

I had a great week at Tori's house. A homely house with a kitchen to stay for a week after traveling on tour for 2 months was just what I needed. The room was as described.. Bed was comfortable, house was lived in and i wasn't made to feel out of place at all. Tori was very accommodating, helpful and great to get some local Advice from. Cat was very friendly :)

Hi there. I'm a musician and music teacher. I travel a lot with my job, so have an understanding of what it's like to stay in digs, and will try to make your stay as comfortable as possible. I'm also a trained TEFL teacher, so have had experience accommodating and teaching foreign students. I share the house with one lodger who stays here 3 nights per week.
