Lisa's home is perfect for spending some time in Vermont's mountainside, as either a home base after a day outside or a cozy place while being snowed in. She is more than generous with her guests and it was a pleasant experience all around. Highly recommended!

We absolutely loved Lisa's home. Sitting up on a hill with a beautiful view sits this warm, inviting and cozy home. My wife grew up just a few miles from here so we know the area well. This is quintessential Vermont at its best. The house was clean, the bed was comfortable and our experience was peaceful and relaxing. We really appreciate Lisa extending our stay by an extra day and look forward to returning to this beautiful home in the future.

Lisa’s house was exactly what we were looking for and we really enjoyed our stay there. The location was perfect for us as it was a close drive to tons of things to do but secluded away in beautiful nature for when we wanted to just relax at the house. We really took advantage of the wood burning stove, cozy living room, reading nook, kitchen and surrounding trails. The house is immaculate and beautifully built. The decorations are very intentionally placed and there is always something new to discover just by looking around. Additionally, Lisa is extremely sweet, amazing with communication, and gave us so much great advice. I would love to go back to this house another time! It is honestly one of my favorite places that we have stayed at using Airbnb.

My name is Lisa Mase (pronounced ‘Leeza Mahzay’). I am a whole foods cooking educator and consultant in Vermont. I grew up between the Italian Adriatic Sea and the Northern Dolomites that define the border between Italy and Austria. Then, I went to high school in Kansas City, and came to Vermont 15 years ago to attend Middlebury College.
I would be happy to prepare meals for your stay if you like. I charge $165 for 3 complete meals (Serve 4 people) and can cater to most any dietary need.

I am trained as a translator and a writer and I grew up cooking everything from scratch with my dad and my grandmother. Our family began choosing herbal remedies after my parents discovered that I was allergic to most antibiotics. My upbringing has influenced me to become an herbalist and a cooking teacher.

I live through my love of cooking, writing, and community, and nature. I put these passions into practice daily by: delving into the etymology of words, writing and translating; experimenting with cooking techniques; stepping outside to walk the fragrant forests; working in the garden with chickens, vegetables, flowers, fruit trees and medicinal herbs.
