The neighbourhood

Brna is situated at the southern part of Korčula island in a beautiful bay surrounded by greenery and the Sun. At the western side is Mali Zaglav peninsula, which separates Brna from Istruga bay, whilst on the southeast side there are several pebble bays surrounded by pine forest and the blueness of the sea. The climate in Brna as well as on the whole island is Mediterranean with long and warm summers and short and mild winters. In summers the west wind or ‘Maestral’ is ideal for all those who love wind surfing. The Brna bay is deep and sheltered and is therefore a safe port for ships and yachts. It is a favourite among the sailors. The close by bay of Istruga is 500 m long and 150 m wide. Half of the bay is covered by six meter beds of healthy liman mud, which belongs to underwater peloid whose development process lasts at least thousand years. The entire area is surrounded by pine forest and Mediterranean herbs so the walks in this area offer are a real pleasure. Cristal clear see, beaches and hidden bays, naturism islets, beautiful sunsets, aromatic herbs, clean nature and air.........all this is Brna.

A grocery shop, a restaurant and a bar can all be found within a 100-metre radius. A tourist agency organising fish picnics and excursions to nearby islands is located at a distance of 300 metres. A beach with healing mud and tennis courts can all be found within a 500-metre distance.

The local bus stop with lines around the island is 5 km away and the ferry port is located in Vela Luka, 24 km from Pecotić Apartments.

This apartment was an excellent place for us to stay while on the island of Korchula...very easy 2-minute walk to restaurants and beaches, private parking was appreciated, hosts family lives upstairs and was available to answer questions. Great view of the harbor from the terrace...wonderful place to enjoy a glass of wine at the end (or the beginning) of the day.

We absolutely loved our stay in Brna- they town itself is quiet and had the most incredible aquamarine water. The apartment was lovely and had everything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped, there is a small balcony off the bedroom, the wifi connection was strong and it's only a short walk to the beach, great restaurants and the supermarket. Our hosts were welcoming, kind and generous with their time- they let us use their charcoal grill to cook dinner one night, and even drove us to the next town to the bus station at the end of our stay.

Fantastic location! Brna is a beautiful, tiny cove on a lovely island. This apartment is just a short walk to the water front. The town is tiny enough to feel remote, quaint and off-the-beaten path but yet has great convinences (2 stores, a few restaurants, boat & scooter rentals). We liked this side of the island best in general. The apartment is as it appears in the listing. Simple but clean and nice. Nice & private with a small deck to look out and enjoy the weather.

We have stayed in "Romana-escape" apartment for a month in September 2015. The apartment is neat and cozy, equipped with everything you might need within your holiday. No need to bring the neither the iron, nor the hairdryer, nor any of the kitchen devices. Big chances you won’t need any of these, but even if you will — it’s all available in the apartment. The hosts are very friendly and always ready to help with anything. They welcomed us with homemade wine, grapes from family owned grape yards and even took us fishing on a boat for a whole day! Very nice people indeed. Always there to help you if you need and yet providing you with privacy at the same time. The weather was warm and nice within all September. Exactly like summertime. The sea is magically blue and totally transparent with lots of fish swimming all around. Make sure to bring your flippers and swimming mask with you. The island is very beautiful, big enough to explore and do some travelling by car/scooter. Brna is a small town yet it has everything you need for a nice, quiet and cozy life. There are a few grocery shops, 3-4 restaurants for eating out, local production souvenir shop. Sometimes you can buy fresh fish from the fishermen. We loved our stay and totally recommend to people who love beautiful nature and search escape from city life.
