I have lived on the mountain for 14 years, what brought me here often was my sister and her husband that had moved up here full time. I would pass the cabin, now the Happy Nest each time I would go to her house. From time to time, it would be for sale, and I always thought it was a perfect vacation cabin. My husband passed away suddenly in 2011, and I nearly left the mountain. This spring there was a for sale sign, and I could not resist seeing it. The rest is history! My friend Jim, jumped in and was a huge help doing things that needed to be done. The day we got the keys, there was a little wren building her nest under the eaves of the back porch. It was so much fun to watch her sit on her eggs, the name just seemed appropriate. It is so much fun taking care of it, and making my guests happy to be here at the foot of Mount Hood. Airbnb is such a great company, I just can't say enough good about my experience so far. I feel that wonderful people use this site, everyone has been so respectful and caring. My goal is to make your visit a positive, relaxing and comfortable time. Come to the mountain!
