This is one of the few places in the area with free parking.
Our place is perfect for families and solo travelers. Situated on the 1st floor, has 2 spacious bedrooms, also listed separately, opening to a common sitting area. It also offers private access to the rooms and a private parking space for small and medium sized cars. A short walk from the neighbourhood shops and a short drive from the highway, our place is convenient for guests who wish to make it a base while on holiday or for those looking for a quiet time to relax.

The space
Our home is in a safe and quiet neighbourhood with mostly villas around. It has a well know city college behind and forests beyond. It is airy and gets ample sunlight. The two bedrooms are spacious and come with attached bathrooms, both equipped with showers. One bedroom even comes with an attached smaller room that is perfectly suited for children / nannies to use. The other offers a private balcony.

Both rooms have large windows, seating space and cupboards for storage.

We offer all the amenities of a comfortable home with 24 X 7 hot and cold water, DTH TV, free WiFi, fresh linen and blankets and heaters during the winters. Our bathrooms offer branded toiletries.

The common area has comfortable seating, a dining area, a larder stocked with a choice of basic necessities, a small Outdoor kitchenette with sink.

Breakfast items like cornflakes, milk, tea bags, eggs, bread, oats, cooking oil and cooking utensils and an induction stove are provided and is included in the tariff.

Parking: Although parking is available for small and medium sized cars. We DO NOT PROVIDE parking for small or mini buses and for tempo traveller.

Note - We DO NOT offer laundry service.

Guest access
You will have a private access to the apartment using a flight of stairs. The apartment opens to a common drawing - dining room. There is enough sitting space in these areas to sit back, enjoy your cup of tea and just feel Shillong.

Other things to note
The weather in Shillong is quite unpredictable so do travel with some warm clothes, walking shoes and umbrella / raincoat.

We are a retired couple. Bhabok, an engineer who studied in the UK, retired as the Chairman of the State Electricity Board while Fidelia was a school teacher in one of the most envied schools in Shillong. We live permanently in Shillong and occupy the ground and part of the first floor, so will be easily accessible should you require any assistance.We have traveled extensively in UK, Japan, Thailand, Europe, Israel, Egypt and also in India. Our daughter and grandchild live with us. Our days are spent pursuing our shared interest in reading, music and cooking. We look forward to hosting you.
