Activities
They say the best part of camping is sitting around the campfire at night; Wide open skies above you, the sound of coyotes howling in the distance. That stuff is real, not just fiction made up in spaghetti westerns, and that's why we have built a communal fire pit. Come on down and bring your harmonica, ukulele, guitar, djembe, or dobro!

If staying up late and burning the midnight oil around the fire isn't your thing there are numerous other activities on the ranch to partake in. We have a horseshoe pit, numerous hiking and mountain bike trails nearby, and you can also take a tour of the ranch and learn a little bit about where our nation's food really comes from.

Guest access

We have over 250 acres of land surrounded by thousands of acres of public land that is open to explore! You have access to Heart Mountain for day hikes, elevation at the top 8,200 feet. The views are worth the effort. Horse Rides Available.

Rod and Lynn were fantastic hosts, and I enjoyed my stay! When the weather was a bit colder than expected, they let me stay in their yurt instead of the tent I originally booked. Rod's breakfast was fantastic, and he recommended a great scenic drive for my stay as well. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

My stay here was absolutely wonderful! I already look forward to coming back my next time out this way. Rod was available by phone to help with directions and answer my questions along the way in, and I was greeted warmly when I arrived and given a tour of the beautiful tent area. The setting is idyllic and peaceful -- a true feeling of being immersed in the open Wyoming range. From watching the sky light up at night and seeing the Milky Way, to enjoying the silence and solitude of zero outside town or city distractions, and meeting and mingling with the other travelers staying there for the night -- it was all great. In the morning, Rod prepared a feast of beer pancakes, organic sausage, and cowboy coffee, and it was a perfect way to end the stay and kick off the departure back on the road. Can't wait to go back!

This was not just AirBNB, it was an experience. Not only was staying on the farm enlightening, but the people I met really made my stay in Powell excellent. The recommended roads to take to Yellowstone and the route the hosts suggested were just as beautiful views as being inside the actual park. I enjoyed staying in the tent, the breakfast, the views, etc. Honestly this is a must on a cross country road trip!

Had a great stay and an awesome breakfast. The camp has a nice view of the mountains and a little creek running behind it. Definitely recommend getting to know Rod and his wife a bit before you leave. You can definitely learn a thing or two from them.
