It was excellent. The room was cosy and very clean as was the bathroom. The house is modern and contemporary on the inside with a touch of old world charm as well. Terry & Suzanne supplied us with maps and ideas on what to do where to eat and where to go and Terry was kind enough to give us a ride to the ferry terminal which was close by. Location is excellent for exploring Wellington...

This place is in a great location and walking to the cbd or botanical gardens is only around a 15 minute walk. The hosts are lovely, friendly and a helpful couple.

A welcoming stay with a feeling of being at home. We appreciated use of the kitchen facilities. A very handy spot for our short visit. The street-front room is well insulated for sound and the heater and electric blanket were welcome comfort in winter as was the central heating..

Terry and Suzanne were such a great and friendly hosts! Their house were lovely and the room we stayed was perfect! Everything was really clean and neat. It was so great to have a proper bed after staying in hostels. The bed was really comfortable! Best sleep in New Zealand! Their place is walkable distance to city center and there are some restaurants near by. We really enjoyed our stay and we recommend Terry's place!

Hello,
I describe myself as a seasoned traveler (not a tourist, I like to say!) who has a passion for passing time in other places, in other cultures and with interesting people.

I live with my life partner who shares my keen interest in travel and together we have shared many common destinations, although she says I can occasionally be a little bit too daring. When that happens we are equally adept at branching out alone to explore on our own. I started a 10,500 km trip around South America with my brother-in-law who found after one week it wasn't for him and went home. I carried on for 5 weeks all alone and survived easily, even if dealing with corrupt police is a little harder by yourself.

I have made some longstanding friends and contacts through travel and have connections in places as diverse as Paraguay and Baja, Mexico.

I own a business that I have run for a number of years and now find I want to pursue quality of life before the quantity diminishes. I am in the process of 'disconnecting' from the business and leaving my staff to manage the day-to-day operations while I pursue a new direction through travel.
