Secluded & newly remodeled cabin in Oak Creek Canyon just yards away from the West Fork trail, north of Sedona and 20 min south of Flagstaff. Located in a highly prized location and insulated from city life - this perched cabin is a true getaway with creek access 100 yards away. Two level cabin bordering National Forest on two sides, this secluded location provides privacy and quick access to the famed West Fork trail and thousands of hiking acres in the forest and surrounding wilderness.

The space
Comfortably sleeps 7 (4 adults/3 kids) Three bedrooms...Master King and bath with shower, 2nd queen bed and 3rd upstairs kids bedroom bunk bed with pullout trundle bed. 2nd bathroom on top level has a larger shower with a stack-able washer dryer. Large open living room with amazing canyon views and extra large balcony for outdoor eating, BBQ, lounging and sitting around the safe propane fireplace (no wood fires during most of the yr extreme fire hazard)

As stated this is a cabin tucked in a canyon with only a few other homes close by, with small country store down the road and limited amenities, miles away from town. Although we have satellite internet which works great for internet browsing and emails it is not fast enough to stream Netflix and other APS. We have a large DVD collection and Direct TV DVR. We as owners enjoy the fact we have limited internet and can really unplug from the rest of the world and take a true vacation. Verizon and other major carriers have decent LTE (4g) out in the front part of the cabin. Also, be advised there is a dry river crossing that can flood so you must watch the current weather and monitor Oak Creek. We will try our best to alert you of stormy weather but we cannot guarantee it. If it overflows you will not have access to the cabin in a vehicle. There is a 1 mile trail that is always open that gives you walking access in and out through West Fork parking lot. Finally there is a septic tank so you must be conscious not to flush anything other than waste and septic safe toilet paper. Most cabins in this area have self contained sewer so we are one of a few that has the convenience an actual septic tank.

With all that said this is a special place and we intend on keeping that way. You can fish along the river with a fishing license (rangers patrol and write large tickets) we just ask to be mindful of our neighbors, private property and not to over fish the creek. We practice catch and release and when we want to keep fish we catch at Sedona Rainbow Trout Farm a few miles down the road for a fee per lb. Very easy for everyone and guaranteed to catch trout. In late summer there are wild blackberries and crab apple trees which you can pick right around the house and all along the river. Pretty amazing to catch your dinner, pick fruit for desert and drink spring water collected only a few miles north.
