About this listing
Lovely 2-bedroom cottage, centrally located in the picturesque village of East Linton, an ideal base for exploring the East Lothian countryside, beaches and golf courses yet only 40 minutes' drive from Edinburgh.
The cottage was formerly 'The Stable' for the 'Manse' (historically, this was house provided for one of the Church Ministers in the village). The Manse was built around 1805 and is of the Georgian era. My husband and I bought the 'Manse' and 'Stable' 12 years ago and have lived in the Manse since then.
The cottage is within the grounds of our house and has its own separate entrance. Guests have a small courtyard area where they can sit out and enjoy a BBQ in warm weather.
Interaction with guests
Our house is immediately next door to the cottage. Whilst respecting the privacy of our guests, we are available to give advice on places to visit etc. if guests would like recommendations.

A Mum and Wife who happens to run a wine business.
Living so close to Edinburgh, I enjoy visiting the City, going out for meals with friends and shopping (but don't tell my husband!).
Before we had children, we lived in London for a few years and we really enjoyed all that that had to offer.
As well as enjoying a city lifestyle, now that we are in a more rural part of the country I love walking on the East Lothian beaches with my 2 Flatcoat Retrievers.
As a family, we enjoy travel - long and short distance breaks.
