Mosman Park is known for its millionaire mansions "between the river and the sea" and fashionable restaurants and cafes. The fully furnished and equipped, bright and breezy apartment has glimpses to Rottnest; amazing sunsets and a swimming pool.
Public transport is very convenient and it’s a 6 mins drive from Cottesloe Beach; 3 mins from the Swan River; 8 mins to Fremantle, and 20 mins by car or train to Perth. (NB Building regulations prevent groups of student-aged adults making a booking.)

The space
(As things presently stand, the smaller bedroom will be unavailable for use, but the double sofa bed in the lounge could accommodate a 3rd guest. Otherwise, the master bedroom is suitable for singles or couples. There is a slim chance I will be at the apartment myself using the smaller bedroom, but in this unlikely situation that would only be for a few nights. If the right single person, (preferably female) is interested in a longer-term rental arrangement, again with the possibility that I might be there as well from time to time, we might be able to negotiate an agreement.)

Everyone who has stayed in the apartment has commented about the same things which make it so appealing: a bright, white, modern and happy space with green trees and gardens to look at from all the rooms and balcony. Being west facing, there are spectacular sunsets and an ocean glimpse to Rottnest Island. The close proximity to the beach, river and public transport, are another major plus.

Perth's 'Western Suburbs' along the coast are the oldest and most sought-after residential areas in the City. Each one of its suburbs has interesting architecture, beautiful leafy streets with extremely expensive houses! Of course, the iconic Cottesloe Beach is just up the road, but all the beaches are beautiful, the nearest being only a 14 minute walk away. The many and varied shops, restaurants, and cafes in the area all reflect exclusivity, but with a relaxed, beachside vibe. In the summer months, Camelot open-air, art deco cinema within walking distance from the apartment, is a lovely night out, with a bar/cafe and wood-fired pizzas. There are different entertainment spots, including, again within walking distance, the lively Rodney's Bait 'n Tackle restaurant bar with live music, and then hotels with music and ocean views close to Cottesloe Beach. Of course, with Fremantle only 2 train stops or a short bus ride, there is plenty to keep you further occupied. Closest to the apartment is the dynamic Mojo's live music venue, and also beach bistros and music at North Fremantle and Leighton Beaches.
The centre of Perth, with its museums, galleries, theatres, and Northbridge for places to eat and listen to music, is only 20 minutes by car or train, or a little longer by bus. Also, Kings Park is a 13 minutes drive and it’s also easy to head to the enchanting Rottnest Island with its friendly quokkas by catching the ferry from the port next to Fremantle Station. Minim Park, 3 minutes from the apartment by car, provides a lovely walking spot overlooking the Swan River, with BBQ areas. But there are so many beautiful parks, restaurants, and cafes all along the Swan River as you explore all the way to UWA and then to Perth.

A well-travelled, Australian/British university lecturer in my early 60s. I have owned this apartment for 8 years and it has never been untenanted in all that time. I only started using Airbnb over the summer in 2019 wanting just one booking to see how it goes. For the time being, I am presently looking for guests over a period of possible transition - but this might change, so do keep an eye on my Listing.

There is a slim possibility I will be staying at the apartment from time to time, but regardless, I will always be available to contact and will gladly give you as much advice/assistance as I can. There is a live-in Janitor whose name and number I will give to you in case of immediate emergencies, although if possible it would be great to get in touch with me first.
