The unit with beautiful high ceilings, original timbers and amazing breezes from the ocean contains everything you need to eat in, relax, and enjoy our amazing climate.

The space
A Touch of the Bahamas on McKenzie MK3 was fully refurbished in October 2019.

Situated on the first floor, accessible by stairs, opens a partial Esplanade and partial ocean view. Tropical artwork and fabrics plus sea creatures complete the transformation of this well-located property.

The lounge area offers a pull out double-size sofa perfect for lazing in front of the Smart TV with local channels and free Netflix account or can add another two sleeps. Free WiFi is provided for your entertainment during your stay.

The carpeted bedroom has a king-size bed, wardrobe, wall-mounted fan and a partial ocean view.

The unit comes with a bathroom and shower and high-quality towels (bath as well as pool towels) and bed linen.

There is also a free washing machine in the backyard shed for all six units to use.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator/freezer, stove, oven, microwave, kettle and all basic kitchenware. A coffee machine is provided and a few other staples for your convenience.

No private parking at the property but plenty of free unlimited parking spots can be found on the street right in front of the building.

We have 4 adjoined fully renovated units in this complex that would be suitable for group bookings.

There are some fantastic restaurants and mini-mart in Lake Street, walking distance from the apartment.

The Cairns Esplanade is the jewel in the Cairns crown. It is very popular with locals for walking, jogging, cycle pathway, exercise equipment at various locations along the length of grassy, well-maintained lawns. The expansive parks and gardens are beautiful. There is a concrete pathway along the beach. A few minutes walk to gas barbecue areas, about 15 minutes Muddy's Cafe (local fish and chips, burgers etc) and terrific water playground and jungle play area for kids.

The southern end of the Esplanade has many bars and restaurants to choose from, as well as a world-class casino with restaurants (and is adjacent to the main shopping area). Here you will find plenty of tour booking agents for a big range of reef, rainforest, tablelands tours scenic flights, fishing trips, balloon flights, and other specialty tours.

The Cairns beach is not for swimming. Please use the huge free infinity pool at the southern end of the esplanade which has its own beach and lifesavers. Gas barbecues, ice cream shops and cafes are nearby.

Further along, the southern end of the Esplanade is the Marina, from where local charter, fishing charters and daily tour vessels to the reef operate and in the river mouth is the Port for national and international cruise ships.
