Interaction with guests
We always try to welcome guests in person when possible, but will give you utmost privacy for the duration of your stay.
Glasco Turnpike is one of the oldest streets in Woodstock. Glasco's name was taken from a local glass company. Glass was carried by horse down "Glasco Turnpike" to the banks of the Hudson where it was shipped on for ports of sale.
We love Woodstock because it's located near other Hudson Valley towns like Saugerties, Kingston, Hudson, Rhinebeck and more. Our favorite restaurants are minutes away: Red Onion and Cucina. Don't forget to check out our local movie theatre on Mill Hill Road.
The center of town is a five minute walk from the cottage, by car it is two minutes away. For a great hike, you can walk up the beautiful Meads Mountain road to the Buddhist Monastery and the famed Overlook Mountain. The Trailways bus picks up in Woodstock town and in Kingston for two-hour trips to New York City and many other Hudson Valley towns. There is a wonderful bicycle rental shop in town.
