The space

This basement suite is a very clean, large, open space (approx 1000 sq ft!) that has soft carpet, two nice, wide windows, and lots of comfortable seating.

There is a separate entrance at the back of the house. Guests can choose a door code ahead of time so that you can come and go as you please, without the worry or need for a key. There is ample street parking available out front.

We back onto a green space, a pathway system, and a small playground - which adds to the peaceful, quiet atmosphere.

There is a very comfortable (yet firm) queen sized bed as well as a twin bed and a futon for guests.

There is also a kitchenette that is stocked with plates, bowls, cups, cutlery (incl. full sized fridge, sink, toaster, coffee pot and electric skillet, and coffee and an assortment of teas for your use).

There is a tv and a large assortment of DVD's as well as Netflix for your viewing pleasure.

We are kid friendly and are happy to provide you with a playpen, if needed. We have toys and games available and an assortment of children's movies.

Interaction with guests

We will be present during our guests stay, upstairs, and are available if you have any questions, concerns, etc ! We are respectful of your space and ask the same of our guests, but are pleasant and love people, so I'm sure we'll see you around :)

The neighbourhood

Our home is conveniently located - backing onto the pathway system, a green space and a park for the kids.
It is an easy walk to Dalhousie Station (15 mins or so). The c-train and the bus station are located by a shopping center (over 35 retailers), which includes restaurants, Chapters, Safeway, a walk-in doctors office, and a gas station.
We are close to main road systems to get you around or even out of the city ! Quick access to Stoney Trail, to Hwy 1, to Crowchild, and less than a 30 min drive to the airport). Banff is about an hour and a half drive from our house (but if you don't have time to head out that way, there is a mountain view from the end of our driveway!).

Getting around

The c-train and bus station is a short walk (15 mins or so), we back onto a walking/bike path, and there are bus stops just down the road.
