This is one of the few places in the area with free parking.
Snapdragon shepherd hut is set within The Cotswold Sculpture Park, 10 acres of tranquil woodland and gardens located on the edge of the Cotswold Water Park in the village of Somerford Keynes. Shared shower room and cooking facilities with other guests. A few minutes walk to the village pub, 5 minute drive to Cirencester.
The space
The shepherd hut is your cosy private space fitted with a wood burning stove. Further amenities include a large communal seating area plus a gas hob for cooking and washing-up sink area fully equipped with utensils, pans and pots etc. There is a shower room with toilet and two separate WCs which are all shared with other guests. Expect to see many visits from the local wildlife on your doorstep! Each hut has a kettle, tea/coffee and towels. We do not offer WiFi within the huts, however from April to September the Sculpture Park Tearoom does have wifi available.

Guests benefit from free access to The Scuplture Park during the seasonal opening times - April 1st to September 31st 10:30am to 4pm.

We have 3 rescue dogs, they may bark when you arrive but they are friendly!

Neighbourhood highlights
Somerford Keynes is set within the beautiful Cotswold Water Park, ideal for a peaceful countryside escape or a base for exploring the Cotswolds. The village boasts the Bakers Arms, a friendly pub serving food which is only a few minutes walk away and in 2023 at neighboring farm a new tap room opened called Cotswold Lakes Brew, where they serve locally brewed beers, serve pop-up food and have live music (only plays until 9.30pm), the brewery is also a few minutes walk away. There is also easy access to walks around the lakes and the Thames Path. The sculpture park itself has a seasonal tearoom open from 1st April to 30th September which serves cakes, hot drinks and lunches. There are ample walking routes and Go By Cycle hire is located at the far end of the village. The surrounding lakes have a range of sporting activities available including paddle boarding and the Wibbet inflatable on lake obstacle course is on the neighbouring commercial lake called Cotswold Country Park and Beach which has a shop and cafe. The market town of Cirencester, known as the capital of the Cotswolds, is only a 5 minute drive away. The village of Kemble is also a 5 minute drive away with a railway line to London Paddington available. Other local areas of interest include the cultural city of Bath and Cheltenham.
