I really love living in Winchester , as it offers something for everyone - I like to cycle and walk in the beautiful surrounding countryside and explore the local villages . The historic buildings and museums were a real draw for me and I am usually to be found at least once a month in the Museum Quarter- an absolute must for anyone interested in Military history. The Farmer's Markets are hugely popular and I am also intrigued by the variety of local , quality produce , as I enjoy cooking up a storm in the kitchen! One of the major attractions of the city for me is is the ability to get to many other fabulous destinations quickly and easily , either by train or car- London, Southampton , the New Forest, Portsmouth are all within an hour's journey - oh, and not forgetting Peppa Pig World at Poulton's Park near Romsey - a half hour car ride for the little ones of the family!
