We are Esveay and Peter. In short, we're nice.
We are both writers and writing teachers. Predictably, we like to read. Currently on the coffee table: Phillip Lopate's essays (Peter's) May Sarton's fiction (Sarah's), a short novel by Peter Taylor (Sarah's), a manuscript Sarah told someone she'd read (still in envelope), a little vase of pretty yellow flowers past their prime.
But we watch tv, too.
We are fortunate enough to have two homes, an apartment in NYC and this little house in the Catskills. We're usually in the Catskills for the summer, but want to find people who will love it as we do for some of the summer and for the fall, winter, and spring.
We have, at present, three cats. That is the absolute limit. Really.
We've used AirBNB a lot, both as hosts and guests, from NYC to Tel Aviv, have of course met marvelous people some of whom make us wish again we spoke more than a little Spanish, Hebrew, French, or Inuktitut.
Life motto? Probably the Golden Rule: Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.
