The space
Our brand new modern detached studio is situated behind our home. It is accesible thru a walkway located on the side of our home. You will be able to park on the left side of our driveway right in front of the walkway.

We designed this light filled 426 sq foot studio ourselves. Luis, who is a residential designer was able to express his love for modern architecture and wanted to bring a taste of it to the Texas Panhandle. We also designed the kitchen and it was inspired by our love of modern minimalist design. The space has high ceilings and plenty of windows to make it feel open and airy. The studio is equipped with a fully stocked kitchen, full bathroom, washer and dryer, a queen sized bed, WiFi and smart tv. It is heated and cooled with a mini split unit. Additionally we provide a space heater for those cold winter days. The space is just right size for a couple or a solo traveler. It is artsy, eclectic, and quirky.

Our goal for this space was to make it feel like a space we would love to stay in on our travels. We filled the home with art from local artists and pieces that we have collected on our adventures.

We are located in the Olsen area, which is an established and peaceful neighborhood here in Amarillo. We are just a few blocks from I-40, far enough to have a great nights sleep, but close enough to be able to access the freeway easily. From the studio you can reach downtown in a car in 8 minutes; Historic Route 66 in 7 minutes; Cadillac Ranch In 10 minutes; Palo Duro Canyon in 30 minutes. Walmart and United Supermarket are 7 minutes from the home. There are great local joints to grab a bite to eat within 5-10 minutes away and we will provide a list our favorite eateries, coffee shops, where to grab a beer/cocktail, or if you have a sweet tooth. Also listed will be great local activities if your in to the Arts or the Outdoors.

During your stay

Please be aware that this is a shared backyard. We do enjoy being outside, in the spring and summer, you will find us lounging on our hammock or working in the garden. In the fall we like to light a fire and enjoy the stars. We will definitely respect your stay though and we will keep noise at bay. Our dog resides inside but he will be outside with us when we are lounging outside. We will respect your space and will keep our social distance we please ask that at this time you do the same.
