Dear Marianne, I feel very sorry that you didn't mention that you didn't have a car when you emailed me because many of these problems could have been avoided. The location is clearly visible on the map, so maybe I wasn't very accurate in the description (as it's exactly 6,3 km to the city centre instead of 5 km) but you didn't ask about trasportation facilities in your email and you didn't tell us that you had to be back in the centre right after checking in: we were waiting for other guests so we couldn't give you a lift without forewarning! If only you'd asked in advance we'd have done our best to find a solution. Also I would have driven you from my house (where we met to collect the keys) to the apartment but you needed to keep the taxi to go back to your appointment. When you left I drove you to the station without any compensation; you were very kind and you didn't complain about the staying, but afterwards you sent me a message to ask for a compensation or I would get a bad review, that's quite unfair!
One last thing: laws are very strict in Italy about it, we can't provide any food even basics such as sugar and coffee or we would need a special licence for a Bed&Breakfast hotel.
I wish you all the best. Francesco
