FEMALES ONLY PLEASE. Spacious living room with high-end super-comfortable sofa-bed in a beautiful, clean, spacious 1BR pre-war apartment with high ceilings. Easy access to the 1 train to 2,3 express on the West Side. M4 Bus in front of the apartment to the East side, 5th Ave and Museum Mile. Practically door-to-door public transportation to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Times Square, and much more!

The space

The apartment is recently refurbished with new fixtures, shiny new wood and tile floors, and freshly painted. There is a TV with Apple TV for internet, Netflix, Hulu & wifi.

I like to keep my apartment clean, clutter free, and provide a space where you can unwind from the bustle of the city. There are also two room dividers that you may choose to use for additional privacy. The apartment is warm in the winter and cool in the summer for a comfortable night's sleep.

I provide: sheets, pillows, blankets, towels, and toiletries such as shampoo and soap. There's a fully stocked kitchen and space in the fridge reserved for your perishable items.

My home is a no-shoes place, quiet, clean and neat, with great easy energy.

Angela was a gracious host and was respectful of my space in her home. The accommodation is exactly as described. Great value and quite quiet. Perfect for solo female travelers of any age. The neighborhood is convenient but may seem edgy to some. Bring your city smarts and you'll do fine. A huge bonus for foodies: the Japanese restaurant ROKC is very nearby, and there is a friendly local Italian restaurant just below the apartment. Highly recommended.

although it's uptown, transport to places of interest is not difficult. angela is also really nice, her place is clean and welcoming as well. i did feel trepidation the first night when i came back.. then i realised that downtown manhattan isn't much different. don't worry, it's safe!

I highly recommend this cozy place because all pieces and details of it made my vacation the best. Angela is a very kind, helpful, thoughtful person. I'm in love with this apartment: books, old dishes, beautiful copy of Kandinsky on the wall, very talented "Freebie" , comfortable couch, pink hall etc. If you wanna feel yourself a real New-Yorker go to Angela's place. Thank you very much, Angela!

Angela is the absolute best Airbnb host I have ever had the pleasure of staying with. (And I've had a lot of great Airbnb hosts!) She is extremely communicative, accommodating, and just -overall- the sweetest person ever. She offered me her umbrella on a rainy day, provided me with an ironing board for my wrinkled clothes, and made me feel at home in more ways than you could think of. Her home is absolutely gorgeous and in the perfect location. Definitely don't spend another second considering other places. Request a stay with her already! :)

Angela's place is just the best! I stayed at her place for 5 nights and I really love everything about it. Angela was really the nicest host ever, she was happy to help wherever she could and I'm thankful for a great stay. Angela gave me very detailed description how to get to her place an was generally very responsive in communication. She also gave me very many good tips about NYC and her neighbourhood. Her apartment is located in Upper Manhattan (closest subway is line 1, Street 137, just 3 mins away from her building), very convinient if you're coming by bus M60 from LaGuardia airport. There's many shops and restaurants around. The apartment was very clean, with a warm, homely feel to it. The bed in her living room was very comfortable-big enough for two people. Angela also accommodated my late arrival request and she's a great person to talk to (especially if you're into films!) and will at the same time also give you your space! I highly recommend staying at her place.

About Angela

I moved a TON as a kid, both internationally and around the US - comparable to an 'army brat' but actually just the daughter of one of those nomadic international chemists you meet. As a result, travel is in my blood, and I think getting around to explore and experience is one of the finest things we can do. I wanted to live in NYC ever since I was a little kid, and 3 years ago I finally moved to Manhattan. I still think it's the greatest city on Earth, and I'm happy to provide a 'home' to call your own while you're here.

I'm an indie filmmaker - actor/writer/director/producer, usually working on more than one project at a time, plus a day job at an acting studio. Very happy to host fellow artists, students, and business travelers.
