WARNING! If you don't mind a tiny, roasting hot apartment with an air conditioner that is so dirty you can literally taste dust, stay here. If you want a host that won't contact you back regarding your issues, stay here. Initially I wasn't going to complain, however being told that the pool wasn't available (due to "maintenance") but to then find people by the pool relaxing? The hosts completely ignore my text and call I believe quite rude and unhelpful. The price of the apartment is acceptable, just if there is a pool. Please shop around you can find so much better. Good point- it's in a fantastic location.

This apartment has all the facilities you might need while staying away from home. It was very clean, very well maintained, it has a good-sized fridge, a good cooking range, and a comfortably-sized bathroom. It is a little smaller than what I thought it would be, but that's because the murphy bed, which hides in the wall is quite spacious and when out, takes up the whole space of the living room. It can easily accommodate two people. It's a very quiet building in a safe neighbourhood.

It was a very nice staying there! Beauty and clean house, great location for everything you would do in Madrid, even for a jog because its near to the park with the crislat palace! Directly next to Reina Sofia, parks, easy to reach the very center, but still quiet!

Check in was smooth and straightforward. Liliana was very responsive which was helpful. I would recommend to add a couple of items to the check in process such as showing how to unlock the door. :) Once we figured it out, it was fairly easy but it would be good to demonstrate to avoid frustration. When you leave your suite, the door will be locked automatically. Don't try to lock it again. When you need to unlock it, put the key and rotate to the right with a little pressure. That should unlock the door. When you enter the building, take the farther elevator as that one will open right beside the apartment door. If you take the first elevator you see on the ground floor, you will have to take a few stairs down to get to the apartment. The size of the apartment is smaller than it seems in the pictures. It doesn't seem as white and bright as it shows in the pictures. It needs a paint job - needs to be freshened up a bit. Overall, it was clean. There are shops and restaurants around but they are smaller and older cafeteria looking restaurants and little markets are very little. There are some random shops like cell phone or housewares or esthetic schools type of shops nearby. We had to buy salt and pepper, cooking oil, hand soap and toilet paper for our 3 day stay. There was no coffee maker. However, it was helpful to have dish soap and laundry detergent. Apartment is close to Sofia Reina museum and El Retiro Park which is nice. If coming from the Atocha train station, you can walk to the apartment. I didn't check the exact distance beforehand and ended up being ripped off by the taxi driver - 5 minute walk = $11.30 euros. Unbelievable! I should have checked... so that's on me. Also, ask for the bedding to be provided before your arrival if you are planning to use the sofa bed. I didn't know that and had to ask/wait for the bedding to be delivered. Rodilla restaurant near the Atocha Metro station is nice for light snacks and coffee. I think if you are on vacation and will be eating out and staying out of the house, this place is ok but if you have to work 8 hours every day out of the apartment, you might find the space a bit tight and not as bright at night - dim lights. We were two of us in this space and found it small since both the bed and the sofa bed are right beside each other. Once you open both beds up, there is not a lot of walking space in the apartment. Liliana, thank you for your help.

We definitely recommend this place! It's located very close to the Atocha railway station, which is very handy if you're arriving to or leaving Madrid by train. The apartment is not too spacious, but very bright and absolutely comfortable for two people (sleeping in separate beds). Bathtub is another plus, helping you relax after long walks through the city. And the windows are facing the backyard, making it very quiet inside. So book the apt and enjoy your stay!
