The three bedrooms, bathroom, living room and deck are located on the third floor of my newly renovated two-family home. The top two floors of the house comprise the second unit, which I also live in. I live in the second unit too, and my private bedroom and bathroom are on the second floor. The house is 3/4 of a mile from downtown Salem with all it's attractions. Guests have two off-street parking spaces in a tandem configuration.

The space
This house was original built in 1870, which is relatively new for Salem! It was renovated down to the studs in 2020 and no detail was spared. I'm on the second floor and have our own private bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen, second floor living room, laundry room and half bathroom are shared spaces that guests can use.

Where you’ll be

Salem, Massachusetts, United States

My place is located about halfway up Bridge Street Neck in Salem. I'm just far enough away to avoid the traffic in downtown Salem, but close enough to walk there in 15 to 20 minutes. Bridge Street Neck is a mostly residential neighborhood, with a few restaurants. One particular favorite of mine is Coffee Time, which is a great bakery and breakfast place and is right down the street, and Chez Casa, a sandwich shop also down the street.

During your stay

I live in the unit on the second floor and usually respond to questions through the Airbnb app within a few minutes. During the week I'm working, and am usually home for the weekend or are out around town going to various events and exploring the area. I've have been to many of the restaurants and attractions in the area and would be happy to give suggestions and recommendations.
