If you’re in need of riverfront serenity, Waterfall Lane is the ideal retreat for you. Be close to nature but still have some creature comforts—this is camping at its finest with a small, cozy cabin to serve as your home base while you explore everything the West End of the Olympic Peninsula has to offer. You won't have to go far. The stunning beaches of the Olympic National Park and unparalleled sunsets are within a few minutes’ drive of our friendly neighborhood

The space
Guests are limited to 4 people only (adults, children).

The land surrounding the cabin abounds with natural beauty and wildlife. Elk, bald eagles, blue heron, barred owls, grouse, deer, coyotes, the occasional black bear and more make their home here. Cast your line from the riverbank and try for a salmon, launch your kayak or canoe, or just contemplate the beauty. Warm yourself with the wood stove and enjoy drinks and meals on the covered deck.

Hand-crafted Cabin
Important things to note: The cabin doesn’t have running water. Several containers of water are provided for your convenience. Plan to bring water with you for washing and drinking.

There’s porta-potty on site. Showers can be purchased at nearby campgrounds.

The hand-crafted cabin can sleep up to 4 people comfortably with a Euro-lounger(s) on the main floor and a queen-sized air mattress in the loft. Bring your own sleeping bags and other bedding. Or we can provide bedding for you for a nominal fee (currently suspended because of COVID-19). Please be advised that parking is limited. If you are bringing more than one vehicle, an extra vehicle charge of $25 each will be added.

Pets: They are allowed! See rules for pet fees. Please inquire before booking.

The small wood stove inside the cabin keeps the space very comfortably heated with minimal wood and effort. Wood and kindling are available for purchase nearby for a nominal price ($3 and up per bundle).

A fire pit and barbecue are provided for your enjoyment. There are folding tables, chairs and a counter for preparing food.

A small solar array provides limited power to the cabin. It has lights and one AC plug for charging phones and other electronics. We can provide flashlights and lanterns for additional lighting, or bring your own. We recommend headlamps for walking around at night.

Access the Quillayute River directly from the property using a well-maintained trail. Store your kayak or canoe in a covered area right beside the cabin.

Verizon provides cell service in the area. With no Internet at the cabin, Waterfall Lane is an opportunity to disconnect from it all and plug into the beautiful surroundings.

Provided for a nominal fee: bedding (e.g. pillows, sleeping bag, comforter, sheets--bedding currently suspended due to COVID-19), cooler, camp chairs, hammock, tent, and other items. We look forward to making your camping experience a very positive one. Be sure to speak with us about your needs before you come.

Guest access
You’ll have Waterfall Lane completely to yourself (although our neighbor’s cows may look across the fence at you from time to time). The property is accessible by car through two gates. The cabin has locks. You’ll be provided with a key.

Where you’ll be

Forks, Washington, United States

Waterfall Lane is a camping experience in a quiet riverfront neighborhood. Your hosts are close-by in case you need something or have an emergency. We’re far enough away for you to have privacy. While the cabin is well-built and snug, expect to encounter nature during your stay. Spiders and other insects sometimes make their way into the cabin. There will be bugs outside and sometimes, bats. You may hear coyotes howling close-by and owls hooting at night. We especially love hearing the crickets and frogs in their seasons and eagles singing as day breaks. Elk graze in the fields in our neighborhood. They will come right up to the cabin. Please keep a safe distance from the elk and do not attempt to interact with them. They are wild and unpredictable beings.
Please let us know if you need suggestions for things to do and see while here!
