Comfy bed for better sleep

The room-darkening blinds and extra bedding are loved by guests.
Our fun & sun-filled Loft has a private entrance, a well-stocked full kitchen, a shower/tub, an enclosed toilet area, a queen & a narrow twin bed, AC, TV with streaming . . . & an indoor swing! There is a BBQ & an outdoor dining table + two bikes, snow shoes and a full washer/dryer & a 2nd half bath in the garage. We have driveway parking for Loft guests, and are just blocks from the University & historic downtown . . . & BTW, we also AirBnB the main house: airbnb.com/h/montana-mediterranean

The space
We like to think of our home as very comfortable and fun. There is a red wooden swing in the middle of the loft, lots of Montana guide books, bikes to borrow plus cozy "Lawson's Loft" terry cloth robes to relax in while visiting - and a towel warmer for an after shower treat.

There is a private/separate toilet in the loft, and another toilet/sink combo downstairs in the garage. The shower space is open to the bedroom - but we have a simple folding screen for anyone who wants more privacy.

The loft kitchen is stocked with spices and kitchen utensils, pots and pans, plus you have access to an outdoor grill.

There are two bikes for your use as well - they are located in the shed in the alley right near the big gate as you enter. We also have a brand-new full-sized washer & dryer + a private half bath (toilet & sink) in the garage for Loft guests use.

We have been hosting guests in the Loft for many years now, and have had nothing but wonderful visitors and good experiences. Everyone has been thoughtful, tidy and easy to communicate with, so we have never had a reason to keep a penny of a deposit, or give any guest less than a 5 star review.

When you depart, we welcome suggestions for how to make your next stay with us even better!

AND . . . if you ever have a need for a bigger space than the Loft provides (for a family reunion, or wedding guests etc) please reach out to us about staying in our main home.

We have only hosted a few AirBnB guests in our main house over the years - but each time was a been a great experience for both the guests and for us . . . so we are going to try to take advantage of this brief pre-grandchildren era of "no kids, no dogs" that we find ourselves in right now, and rent the main house out more frequently.

So, if you ever find yourself needing a place to host 6-9 people (or up to 12 people/7 beds if you include the Loft) just let us know. We are looking for excuses to travel - and maybe even live in other areas - and we'd feel better about trusting someone who has already stayed in the Loft to be good care-takers of our home!

Guest access
The entire loft is yours, plus the use of the outdoor dining table on the lower back porch, and the cruiser bikes + locks + helmets (located in the alley shed) and the laundry center in the garage. To get to the Loft simply park in our driveway, then walk down the lighted alley next to our driveway and enter our backyard via the big wooden gate.

Go up the short set of stairs. The Loft door should be unlocked when you arrive, but if it happens to be locked, simply follow the instructions on the door, and use the code sent in the welcome instructions to get inside.

Other things to note
We try to have a few items available for your FIRST breakfast with us: fresh fruit, granola, tea, coffee, and half & half. We also have pasta and a simple tomato sauce in case you get in late and just want to eat something to tide you over until the next day.

After that we assume you will go to the Co-op or Town & Country market and shop for the the particular food you like best. Please let us know if you have any suggestions for other foods or kitchen utensils that you would like stocked in the Loft.

Neighbourhood highlights

The Southside of Bozeman is the main historic district. It is composed of safe, and friendly neighborhoods lined with mature trees, and an eclectic array of architecture. From our home, it is only a few minute walk to MSU, a short bike ride or walk to the historic downtown. And just two blocks from our home is Bozeman's Southside Park, with a play ground for kids, plus tennis/pickle ball courts, and in the winter, an ice skating rink.

We moved to Bozeman, Montana from Sonoma County in 2000 with a little kid, two dogs & a cat. The following decades were largely spent renovating this old 1920's home, while juggling all things young families juggle. Thankfully, things are finally slowing down. Before joining AirBnB, we hosted international students and non-profit workers in "The Loft" - our private entry guest space - but have found hosting on AirBnB to be a great experience!
