Other things to note

Lopez Island is a rural island. Internet and cell phone service are not 100% reliable so be prepared to be without one or both during your stay. There are no readily available service people on Lopez. We can't just "call the plumber, electrician or handy man" so if something needs attention in the house during your stay, be prepared to make the best of the situation as it is, for it is unlikely to find anyone for repairs right away. You'll need to have a certain amount of autonomy... it's a country life on this rock, no concierge services are available, if you need something, you'll need to go get it. Propane, supplies etc are all available on the island. TL;DR - Lopez is rural, services aren't reliable or readily available. Be prepared to make the best of the situation, whatever it may be. Get outside and have some fun! Kayak, bike, hike, fish!!!

Idyllic location on the cliff top in the middle of the forest, very peaceful and comfortable place.

This is a lovely secluded cabin with stunning views and a surprising amount of space. It was clean and well equipped, and in a good location for exploring this beautiful island. Unfortunately the space was absolutely freezing when we arrived at the check-in time of 4pm, and took hours to warm to a comfortable temperature. Of course it's understandable that the cabin would get so cold at this time of year, but turning on the heating in advance of our arrival, even just to warm it a little would have made a big difference to the start of our stay, especially as we were traveling with a toddler and a newborn. Our only other issue was that there wasn't enough hot water to fill the bath, which again isn't great when travelling with kids.

The cabin is located near the southern end of Lopez Island on the eastern shore with a northern view onto Mud Bay. The area is quiet and restful. Accommodations are not spartan nor are they plush but the layout is very livable for a cabin retreat. The view over the bay from the living room and decks is gorgeous. The main shopping and dining venues are in the Village which is about a ten minute drive away. Wildlife is plentiful on the island. The village is home to many rabbits, we had deer visit at the cabin, and there is sea lion viewing from several locations along the western shore and southern tip. Plan to stay at least three nights to fully enjoy the area.

Very peaceful cottage with great views of the water. Comfortable space for the 4 adults who stayed there. We walked down to the dock (down the hill) and had a brisk swim. Super easy and inviting place to stay.

There is no path to the beach , you'll have go find public beaches to bask in. It's good that there's a kitchen because restaurants are either crummy or expensive, and we cooked many meals here. Weber is available for BBQ, so get some Charcoal before you get here. Meet the deer, they love anything sweet, and they'll eat out of your hand if you're gentle. The house is impeccable and kept in really great condition, we were very comfortable. It could easily host a family or two couples since there are two full bedrooms.

We had a group of four at this adorable cabin and it was everything we could've wanted. The view is one of the BEST on the island and it's a very private lot. The house is cozy, has all you need in the kitchen and the upper and lower decks allow for great fun outside all day. If you are a cyclist, bring your bike! Lopez has the best roads for cycling and we took advantage of it. We had a wonderful trip and can't wait to come back.
