Napili Hale is one of the last kama'aina properties in northwest Maui. Napili Hale boasts 2 bed/2 bath with 1000 sq. ft. of living space, with a large yard and walking distance to Napili Bay. Walking distance to beaches, restaurants, coastal trails, and activities. Home has everything you need; bath towels, beach towels, linens, shampoo, conditioner, hair drier, laundry and dishwasher detergent, and starter paper towels and toilet paper.

The space

One of the last kama'aina properties in Napili, Napili Hale is a plantation style home, located in a residential neighborhood in across the street from Napili Bay. It is connected (yet with its own entrance and separate area) to another living area.

Napili Hale is a two minute walk across the street from Napili Bay, a tranquil, leeward bay with a white sandy beach. Sunsets from Napili Bay are simply surreal with both Lana‘i and Moloka‘i off on the horizon.

There are three additional beaches within walking distance (within a mile) north of the house; Kapalua Bay, Oneloa Bay (Ironwoods), and Honokahua Bay (Fleming Beach Park, fronting the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua). All of these beaches are spectacular and beautiful and the Kapalua Coastal Trail connects them all! The Coastal Trail makes for an amazing walk or run any time of day! This trail passes some of Maui’s most pristine sand dune ecosystems as well as an ‘U‘au (Hawaiian dark-rumped petrel) sanctuary at Hawea Point. This trail also connects to the Village Walking Trails and the Honolua Ridge and Maunalei Arboretum Trail systems are nearby. Please inquire about cultural tours of Maui. If you choose to walk along the Lower Road to Kapalua Drive, you will pass several world-class restaurants; the Seahouse Restaurant at the Napili Kai Hotel, Merriman’s Kapalua, The Pineapple Grill and the Plantation House, just to name a few.
There are a variety of activities that you can enjoy in walking distance that include swimming, snorkeling, hiking, boating, tennis, golf and surfing. Ka‘anapali is 5.8 miles south and Lahaina Town is 9.4 miles south. There you can enjoy more beaches, shopping, dining and lots of fun activities and entertainment.
Napili Hale has a wonderful yard with a picnic table. Napili Hale is a wonderful place to experience kama‘aina living and enjoy time with your family and friends!

Also note there are feral chickens and roosters in the neighborhood. They are a normal part of Maui's landscape these days, but they can be noisy to those light sleepers.

My family and I do hope you have a relaxing, exciting and fun vacation!! Overall, we simply ask that our house and all the items in it are treated with care and respect. My family also uses this house when we, like our guests, want to escape the everyday stress of life. It is a very special and sentimental place for us as the land has been in our family for several generations.

We do ask that guests adhere to the following requests made by the home owner/manager and the County of Maui to ensure Napili Hale’s good standing in the community:
Napili House Rental Agreement
Check-in is at 4:00 pm and check-out is at 10:00 am

Because the house is located in an area with neighbors who are full-time working residents, we ask that guests are respectful and maintain a peaceful atmosphere, keeping quiet hours between 9:00 pm and 8:00 am. During this time noise from the house shall not unreasonably disturb adjacent neighbors. Sound that is audible beyond the property boundaries during non-quiet hours shall not be more excessive than would be otherwise associated with a residential area.

Vehicles shall be parked in the designated onsite parking area and shall not be parked on the street.

No parties or group gatherings other than registered guests shall occur

We ask that guests conserve energy by turning off ceiling fans and lights when you are away from the house for periods longer than 45 minutes.

We ask that guests use the recycling bins located in the yard alongside the shed.

There is absolutely no smoking in the house. Guests may smoke outside at or near the picnic table.

The Napili Hale, Colleen P. Medeiros and other owner on title are hereby released from liability of any injury or death if incurred on the property or during the duration of your stay.
The Napili Hale will provide laundry soap, dishwasher detergent, dish soap, shampoo, hair conditioner and body wash, and get you started with paper products for your convenience.

If you're looking for close proximity to a beautiful beach for swimming and wading, and a clean and comfortable home, this is the place for you. The home had two good sized bedrooms with full baths, a spacious kitchen, and a lovely yard and outdoor shower to wash off sand from trips to the beach. The feral roosters were not around during our stay, but there is some noise from other roosters near the property.

Colleen's house is beyond amazing! We had our toddler with us so we spent our whole vacation under that tree and across the street at Napili beach where the waves are small. If we ever get a chance to visit Maui again I will be looking to stay here. The roosters are real, but you get used to them. Thanks again Colleen!

A very lovely, organized and clean home. Close to beach and everything. Colleen is a gracious host. Gave box of pastries as a welcoming. A bit hot inside (we stayed during an August month where it's more hot) during the day (and night) even with ceiling fans and open windows. Winter months may be cooler. No air conditioning. Our mother is elderly so stayed home a lot. If you are more outdoors, this may not be an issue. Roosters crowing in the early morning hours so needed to close windows. Even when closed will still hear it but not as bothersome. Everything else was great!

Beautiful home in a beautiful part of the island! Colleen was super responsive to any of our inquiries and was very gracious when we had to beg for a little extra time at checkout :) So many beach amenities were provided such as chairs, towels, sand toys, and boogie boards! This made our three year old very happy. The home is comfortable and the outdoor shower is so nice for keeping sand outside (as much as possible at the beach). The yard is huge and the majestic tree in the front made for some fun climbing. We will definitely be back to Napili Hale. Mahalo, Colleen!

We really enjoyed our time in Napili - the location provides a great blend of vacation/resort and local living. The beach across the street was an amazing spot, especially at sunset. The other beaches nearby (Kapalua and Oneloa) were also wonderful. The house itself is comfortable, impeccably clean and well maintained. We had minor issues with the wifi reception, which can be a bit spotty. And the house itself can be a bit stuffy - even with the windows all open and the fans running, it would take time to get the air circulating. (There are portable ac units but we opted not to rent those.)

Colleen's place was a nice location for my family. We enjoyed having the beach right across the street from the house. The house was clean and good enough space for my 3 year old to roam around. Great set of beach toys to keep my son entertained. Only thing that didn't meet my expectation is the Rooster farm right next door. If you are a light sleeper , make sure you bring your ear plugs. Other then that everything else was great.
