Description

The space

Our ground floor apartment has a lovely large open plan space for the living room/dining room/kitchen. Ther is a double bedroom with a connecting door to the dressing room which has a single bed. The dressing room has ample space for one person and there is plenty of storage and a door to the hallway so no need to go through the main bedroom, there is no window in this room. The bathroom has a bath with a very good shower over, a loo and washbasin. The small courtyard garden is safe and sunny.

Guest access

What's mine is yours.

Interaction with guests

Our family live round the corner so there's always someone on hand if needed.

The neighbourhood

Coachmans Yard is a recently built development of apartments. It is about 200 meters from the High Street. The building is in an area away from the Main Street so you don't see the traffic. We have allocated parking right outside the door.

Getting around

Short walk to the bus stop, Castle Cary station is about 30 minutes by car, Bristol airport is 40 minutes.

Other things to note

Unlike almost everyone we don't charge a cleaning fee. We provide all of your linen with the exception of bath towels. Please leave £2 for the housekeeper for each bath towel you leave in the laundry or even better, save a bit of money and bring your own. It's our way of making sure our housekeeper doesn't have a mountain of towels to wash, which has happened in the past, our record is sixteen towels in three days!

This place is right in the heart of Glastonbury with a few minutes to reach High street. It has two bedrooms which gave a good sense of privacy. A beautiful English garden giving a sense of privacy is attached. We are three friends and we had a splendid time there.

Ellen´s Garden was a wonderful flat. A perfect home base for our Glastonbury stay. Cozy, welcoming, clean and comfortable with a beautiful garden. Everything we could have asked for and only a 2 minute walk from the main square. We were also delighted to meet Barbara who was friendly and extremely helpful. We can´t wait to be back to our favorite flat in our favorite town :) - Íris, Dísa and Harpa.

Barbara's place has everything you might need and the location is great. Walking distance to everything in town, comfy beds, fully stocked kitchen and laundry. She is also really easy to communicate with and flexible and she has several properties in town. I would stay again in a heartbeat. Thanks for everything. Carrie

Barbara's apartment is spacious and cozy, exactly as on the pictures, with a well-stocked kitchen, a nice little back yard and a dedicated parking space in front of the house. The apartment is very conveniently located, close to the town centre with its shops and restaurants. We had a great time here and I can definitely recommend anyone to stay in this apartment.

We had a very nice stay. The flat itself was very comfortable and well located, just off the high street. Barbara helpfully provided a travel cot and high chair for our child In Glastonbury itself we visited the abbey, tor and the Chalice Well Gardens. Nearby we recommend visiting Wells and Cheddar Gorge.

I'm a woman in her sixties who likes to read, sew and cook. I love Glastonbury and I can't think of a place I'd rather be. I have a vacation rental business called Glorious Glastonbury Holiday Homes and this keeps me pretty busy. My favourite thing is to enjoy a sunny day with my Jack Russell terrier in the grounds of Glastonbury's ruined abbey. I love to wander around the shops and cafes and I look forward to going to one of the many fine pubs to have Sunday lunch with the family and yes, the French are right, we Brits really do eat roast beef on Sundays!
