All about Jane’s place

Our spacious 17th century farmhouse is situated in the heart of the Ribble Valley. This beautiful, stone-built detached property combines the traditional charm of wood beams, stone fireplaces and original flag floors. It offers generous living spaces to gather together with friends & family. We are an idelal venue for family / friend birthday gatherings and can recommend chefs for private dining. We are also right on the doorstep of many popular wedding venues in the area. Gastro pubs nearby too

The space
A very comfortable, welcoming home set in walled gardens nestled at the bottom of the small valley of Bashall Brook, hence the name "Clough". Set in a quiet residential courtyard of 4 other barn conversions this family home is exclusive set back behind its walled gardens. Once here you will not want to leave !
Divided over 3 floors the accommodation comprises of: Ground floor - large spacious rooms - farmhouse kitchen with flagged floor - the heart of the home with a besopke hand painted kitchen complete with aga style range cooker. The kitchen opens out onto the dining room wth a large pine table that seats 12, flagged floor, TV and a wood burner. A separate snug living room with wood burner.
On the same floor a utility room, and cloakroom.
First floor: 3 spacious bedrooms, 1 Master bedroom with ensuite and the other two bedrooms share the family bathroom. Bedroom 2 is a twin room and bedroom 3 has a zip and link bed so can either make a double or 2 singles.
Top floor: 3 further bedrooms 2 with en suite shower rooms. I bedroom is a double, the other is a twin with 2 single beds - both these bedrooms have en suites. The final bedroom is very large. It has a zip and link bed so can either be used as a double or two singles. This room adapts easily to a family room as we have a small portable bed with mattress, but bring your own sleeping bag or bedding, suitable for a small child.
Outside there are walled gardens to the front and a large oak beamed, covered veranda with outside seating and pizza oven for al fresco dining. A great place to sit and entertain morning or evening whatever the weather. Lots of secure and private outdoor areas to walk and play including a walled orchard.

I am a country girl with a love of the outdoors. I love peace and tranquillity but not to be too far from the social scene. I am married to a farmer and between us we run a farm and are owners of The Out Barn, wedding venue. We have 2 adult sons one of which runs The Out Barn with our team. In addition we are passionate about sustainability and the environment. Everything you see and visit whilst staying with us we have developed over the last 30 years - Clough Bottom has been our passion as well as our livelihood. We live on site, in one of the converted barns and enjoy welcoming our guests to the farm. We hope you enjoy our home and all we ask is please respect it as it is our pride and joy.
