A 3 bedroom cottage in the heart of Yungaburra it is an original village home it’s minutes from the cafes and shops.

Sleeping up to 4 comfortably there’s 3
comfy beds, Netflix, aircon, wifi and some essential amenities are provided.

The space
‘Stay’ is simple accommodation for travellers wanting place to eat and sleep before heading out for their next adventure.

The house is an original but modernised 1950’s three bedroom and one bathroom home. It has a fully enclosed back yard and is known as the house that jack and Forrest built.

Jack was the original builder. He built it by hand for his young family of six in 1950 before selling it to us in 2004. It was then Forrest who stripped it, and renovated it in 2020 so his family could continue their love of hosting. We host another property in the village called ‘Rest Yungaburra’.

We provide all essential amenities
including linen, towels and cooking equipment. There is enough tea, coffee and milk to get you started.

There is three comfortable queen beds, wifi and Netflix. Parking whilst not under cover is off street. Please note there is no undercover locked parking. If your bring a boat or JetSki it will need to be parked in the drive or street. Regardless she is styled to suit her quirky nature. The living area and main bedroom is air-conditioned. There are fans throughout.

Stay’s is located less than 5 minutes walk to the village restaurants, shops and market grounds.

Please be aware the property has stairs both front and back. The windows are also not screened. There is again no undercover parking - there is no room for a boat off street.

Now for the nitty gritty. It might seem long but we appreciate you taking the time to read through.

***HOUSE RULES/AGREEMENT MADE UPON BOOKING***

This is a family home, we love and invest a lot of time into her. We are a young family and we love leasing our home as a holiday home however we have had some tricky guests and so we ask for you to consider our dos and don’ts (as crazy as they seem) before booking. It’s not to turn you off booking, we are reasonable people and our past reviews say so, but it’s just to make sure we are on the same page.

We assume all of our guests will be respectful and honest. Again we are really reasonable people so please help us preserve our house for yours and others' future stays by accepting these guidelines before you book:

- Please be honest about the number of people staying at the property. We currently feel the house comfertably sleeps four at most. Our nightly rate has been kept low and affordable. It is based on four person's staying here if there is more please pay the additional person charge.


There is no dishwasher or clothes dryer. It's why we deem it to be a ‘budget’ property. There is however a clothes line in the back yard.

Guests also need to understand that being an original 1950’s home the windows are not screened although the home is air conditioned so you can comfortably close the house up. But because of no screens and being a country area bugs or geckos may occasionally be encountered inside, bug spray will provided for the bugs where the gecko is not doing its job.

‘Stay’ is a non smoking property and is not to be used for events or parties. We have also deemed it unsuitable for children under the age of 5, due to the steep steps inside and outside the property.

Please not there are stairs inside and out may make access difficult for some please consider this when booking.

The property is currently priced based on four persons, with a maximum of six additional guests above this will be asked to leave. We are a small family business and believe we have priced the house fairly in accordance to the facilities and location. We also must ensure we are acting within council bylaws and inconsideration of our neighbours. Trying to accommodate additional guests in secret will be costly to you when you need to find other accommodation at short notice. Please don’t make things awkward.

-There is NO smoking allowed inside the property. If smoking outdoors, please keep doors and windows closed so the smell does not enter the house.

-Absolutely NO major parties. We're ok with small celebrations with the allotted amount of guests allowed/booked for (no more than 6).

-Decorations: Absolutely NO GLITTER or stickers. Any decorations you put up must all be taken down including any tape residue. Any tape residue or damage found on walls due to your decorations may result in being charged.

-Please leave the house in the condition you entered it in. THE CLEANING FEE DOES NOT COVER EXCESSIVE MESS. The $90 fee is to cover the expense hiring our awesome cleaner, Joy, to clean all linens, kitchen, bathrooms, living areas, dusting, and up-keeping the house. It does not include her cleaning up after any disrespectful messes left behind. Please follow easy check-out instructions we'll have provided you. If you follow those, you’ll be in good shape.
-Please communicate with us about anything that has been broken during your stay. Any excessive mess or damaged items MAY result in withholding of deposit. We are reasonable people and will understand if accidents happen, but please do not try to "hide" it from us as we want to make sure everything is taken care of or fixed before our next guests come to enjoy our property.
-RESPECTING OUR NEIGHBOURHOOD. Remember, you're not renting a hotel room, you're renting a house in a neighbourhood where people live. We ask that you respect our neighbourhood and neighbours by keeping your exterior noise level down at ALL times during the day. ANY complaints received from our neighbours (whether noise or just being a disturbance in any way) will result in the withholding of deposit.
-Internet Use: NO illegal downloading of any sort, no p2p file sharing.

We try to communicate it as clear as possible in our listing in our description and broken down in the "House Rules" before guests book and agree to those terms. We try to be as upfront about it on our listing as much possible avoid surprises.

EARLY CHECK-INS OR LATE CHECK-OUTS:
Early check-in or late check-outs must be PRE-ARRANGED. Please do not ask on day before or the day of arrival as we will NOT honour it. We have our cleaners scheduled at specific times and are unable to make last minute changes. Any non pre-arranged late check-outs will result in withholding of deposit.

The only way we can guarantee an early check-in is if the night prior to your stay is available, we can block it off for you at half the price. Same goes for late check-out, if there is no one booked the night of your check out date, we can block off the night for you for a guaranteed late check-out at half the price.

LUGGAGE DROP OFF:
While we would love to be able to accommodate luggage drop off requests, there simply isn’t a ‘holding area” in our home that wouldn’t interfere with our cleaners ability to move freely during their clean. There are several luggage handling services that would be able to store your luggage for you, and even deliver it to the house at check-in.
Security Deposit - if you damage the home, you may be charged up to $500
Guest access
Guests have access to the entire house and a two bay shed.
Interaction with guests
We live close by and so should you need anything during your stay, we are available via message through your booking platform or by text (in case of an urgent matter).
You will have a detailed guest book available at the property with tips on how to work the TV, rubbish, check-out instructions, and will also serve as a local guide for my favourite restaurant and bar recommendations.
Other things to note
A lot of time, care, and money has been put into this home that we LOVE. I only want to have the best guests who will respect my property AND my neighbours. Not looking for rowdy crowds to stay here!
