Unique, quiet heritage apt in Hastings, adjacent Marriotts, near to Hilton & Radisson Resort. It is right over from beach and boardwalk. The 300 year historic enclave has a central courtyard with old trees. Residents are artists & private practitioners. Built solidly and for air flow the rooms are spacious with high ceilings, and are equipped with good fans. Buses and vans are right outside so there's easy access to Bridgetown, Worthing, & St. Lawrence. Essentials, restaurants & bars nearby.

The space
This is a first floor apartment (27 steps) in an old quarter built to be the military hospital for the garrison stationed here. The building has weathered nearly three centuries and has a great deal of character. This location is highly sought after by local residents because it is quiet yet ultra convenient for a variety of needs. There's easy walking to the beach, sea (good swimming) and boardwalk. Also Garrison Savannah, Barbados Museum, Yacht and Cruise Clubs and the popular Pebbles Beach. SU Paddleboarding and a gym are nearby and early birds can watch the racehorses being exercised on the racetrack at Savannah or at Pebbles Beach. Two good supermarkets, a great pharmacy and churches are a short bus ride away.

Other things to note
This is a peaceful place to be. We ask our guests to be considerate of the downstairs neighbour late at night as noise transmits unchecked through the wooden floor.

Where you’ll be

Bridgetown, Christ Church, Barbados

Extremely conveniently located on the south coast road with frequent public transport options. Pavilion Court is opposite the beach and popular boardwalk and a short walk to many other amenities e.g. bars, restaurants, shops, pharmacy, doctor, bank etc. Blakey's. a very lively bar, is a short walk away and often has live music and Art Splash Cafe has great coffee and breakfast. In the other direction why not explore Garrison Savannah, part of the UNESCO designated 'Historic Bridgetown' area and surrounded by gracious old mansions with huge shady trees? Many use the path around the horse racing track for exercise. On the edges of Garrison there's lots to learn at the Barbados Museum, and St. Ann's Fort with one of the best canon collections in the world and the iconic Main Guard clocktower. George Washington House is very worthwhile to view and all A/C. Great cafe there too.
