A Historical building with finely masoned stone walls, views over rich olive groves, vineyards and lithe cypress tree-lined roads. In 2015 the estate’s owner converted this beautiful olive mill into an extraordinary luxury villa with high-end amenities, and it is now available as a vacation rental for 12 guests. The Frantoio is privately situated amid the Compitese hills near Lucca, an area famed for producing one of the best extra virgin olive oils in Italy.
Until the late 1960s the Frantoio was a working olive estate and mill employing many local villagers.
