Other things to note
I also rent a property in Brooklyn. This Oakland rental is new! You can read reviews from my Brooklyn guests here:
*Please be sure that you have your final dates and number of guests confirmed before you book your reservation. Alterations to the booking through the Air BnB website have caused problems with past guests, especially with fluctuating currencies, etc. For the protection of all parties, please be certain of your plans before you book (with me or anyone else!)
***"Parties" are not permitted without the owner's consent although visitors are obviously allowed in the building within reason.
****Absolutely no smoking in the house. If evidence of smoking is found the full deposit will be retained.
*****All items left on the premises after the guests departure will be discarded. Please do not leave any items 'to be picked up' by friends.

Hello There! I am a 40 year old non-profit executive, working in philanthropy and finance. I have travelled extensively by using temporary sublets and apartment swaps. Some of my best memories are about landing in a residential neighborhood of Paris, the Hague, Rio, Siena, London or Liege and exploring the area as the locals might. I have been an Air Bnb Host for 2+ years in Brooklyn and Oakland. Not a complaint yet!
For professional reasons I live bi-coastally. Part of the time in Brooklyn and part of the time in Oakland. I am able to do this (on a non profit salary) thanks to Air BnB. I use a portion of the income I receive from rentals to support community development projects in Kenya as well. I spent a big part of my life in Kenya among the Maasai. You will see quite a bit of unique African tribal art in my homes as a result!
I have put a lot of thought into the stays for you. They are very functional, immaculately clean, and have all of the little things that will make your stay seamless. Not only do I hope that you will enjoy your stay, but I hope that you will return!
