"The Mango Tree" is an independent bungalow furnished in wood, new construction with a total surface (including terrace) 29.2 sqm.
It is located in a private garden of 900m ².
This garden consists of:
- An "upper-part" with the owners house and main garden
- A "bottom-part" with private entrance where the bungalow is situated. You will share this part of the garden with two chickens that can walk freely during the day and their "hen-house" (there is no cock ... so no noise and no smells, even when I forgot to clean, the hen house is too far away from where the bungalow is ).
The Bungalow is located at an altitude of 330 meters (where it never gets too hot or too cold), in a quiet and natural area.
There is a bus stop and a small shop within walking distance.
You can come here by Bus or by car.
You can park a car on the terrain or on a parking close to the Bungalow
The bus stop is very close at walking distance
Other things to note
There are two ways to access the bungalow, one of these up through a steep road, the other with a small steep descent. That said, as Réunion Island is a volcanic Island centered by the highest mountain (3077 m) in this Indian Ocean region, a lot of the accomodations for rent which are not on or near the seashore (and more expensive!) will have steep access roads. In other words our location is not any different from a lot of other locations you will find here at Réunion. And this is simply because we live on a mountainous Island with some of the steepest mountains you can find due to the relative young age of Réunion island compared to a lot of other volcanic islands (Erosion has not have had enough time).

Réunion Island's Pitons, cirques and remparts are on the UNESCO world heritage list.
The Pitons, cirques and remparts of Reunion Island site coincides with the core zone of La Réunion National Park. The property covers more than 100,000 ha or 40 % of La Réunion, an island comprising two adjoining volcanic massifs located in the south-west of the Indian Ocean. Dominated by two towering volcanic peaks, massive walls and three cliff-rimmed cirques, the property includes a great variety of rugged terrain and impressive escarpments, forested gorges and basins creating a visually striking landscape. It is the natural habitat for a wide diversity of plants, presenting a high level of endemism. There are subtropical rainforests, cloud forests and heaths creating a remarkable and visually appealing mosaic of ecosystems and landscape features.

Hi there, I am a Dutchman, after working and living in the Netherlands I have left in 2003 traveling in South America, India, Nepal and south east Asia for 18 months, I then lived in Toulouse for two years and I am now settled in Réunion Island since 2007 with my (french) compagnion and my two daughters who were born here in 2010 and 2015.
Considered a versatile "handyman" I keep myself busy having a (very) small independent company here on the island doing all kinds of electronic repairs, raising my children, making music and always building and improving our house, garden and managing this bungalow I built and finished in september 2014.
From 2007 to 2015 I have been an independent ultralight pilot for "les passagers du vent" (look for "ulm reunion" on the web). After years of flying over Réunion you could say I know the island well from above, and let me tell you from the many places I have been able to visit in my life, Réunion Island is a breathtaking destination in many respects!
Maybe I 'll welcome you here someday, in the mean time, safe and happy travels!!
