The accommodation is located in the basement of a log cabin in the Lahn-Dill-Bergland Nature Park. The house is very quiet on a slope with wonderful views of the Salzböde valley. Directly behind it begins a large forest that invites you to hike. The marked extra tours of the Lahn-Dill-Berglandpfad (circular hiking tours ) are highly recommended.

The space
The room is small (13 sqm) but fine: it is equipped with a kitchenette (stove with ceramic hob, oven, kettle, egg cooker, fridge, coffee machine). There is currently no TV, but there is a connection. The bathroom with shower and sink is accessible directly from the room. You don't have to cross the hall.

The room is furnished with a unique rustic double bed (1.60 m wide). If you need more space to sit, you can pull the bed up with an ingenious mechanism. In addition, there is a closet, a table, two chairs, a stool, a couch and a small coffee table in the room. In the entrance area are a dressing room and a shoe rack. CD player/ radio is also available.

Through the terrace door you can access a wooden terrace with seating directly at the swimming pond.

Sauna:
The use of the in-house sauna (in the neighbouring room) is possible for a fee by prior arrangement. The sauna may not be available during your stay as we use the neighboring room as a photo studio and private guest room. Please just inquire with us.

Usage: The first hour costs eight euros (incl. sauna towel and infusion). Each additional hour costs four euros.

The garden and the swimming pond may be used. The lower terrace is available for you to sit on. Unfortunately, the bathtub can no longer be used, it is defective.

The bathroom is accessible from two sides. If we still have a private guest in the neighboring room, it may happen that you share the bathroom with another person. We would also use the bathroom if we wanted to go to the sauna ourselves. If this makes you uncomfortable, please clarify this with us in advance. Generally, however, we also agree with you beforehand if we ever need the bathroom.

Check in:
from 2pm. We are both working and usually only around evening at home. We can deposit the key in our key box in the door frame of the front door. Then you can check in yourself before we arrive.

Curtains:
In front of the windows, there are only curtains for easy darkening, no shutters. So you will wake up in the morning in daylight:-)

Parking:
Please park your car diagonally opposite the front door in front of the metal fence.

Where you’ll be

Lohra, Hesse, Germany

Lohra is a pretty little village with good infrastructure. In the vicinity you can experience a lot of nature and make beautiful excursions to castles or medieval towns (e.g. Marburg).

Shopping and Food: Within walking distance are two supermarkets and several bakeries.
In one bakery (6 min walk) is even seated. You can get sandwiches and coffee there.

In the village there is a pizzeria, a doner pizza snack and various village pubs/restaurants.

Recreational activities in the vicinity:
- Hiking on the Lahn-Dill-Bergland trail
- Cycling (on the salt soils and Lahn cycle path)
- Canoeing on the Lahn
- Climbing forest in Marburg and Gießen
- Excursions to Marburg (beautiful old town, Elisabeth church, large botanical garden) or Gießen (mathematics, museums)
- interesting surroundings with castles (Krofdorf-Gleiberg, Greifenstein, etc.) and small half-timbered towns (Dillenburg, Herborn, Braunfels, Biedenkopf)
- visit the Lahn-Dill-Bergland-Therme or the Moutainbike Trail in Bad Endbach
