A quaint 1939 English Tudor home with a very relaxing, warm and cozy ambiance. Our home is inviting and eclectic. This enchanting space mixes vintage details with modern amenities. Find tranquility in the beautiful landscaped backyard with hillside views.
The space
Entrance to the house is at the rear of the property. You will travel down the side yard pathway to the backyard and enter through French doors leading to the family room, which is large, bright and airy, and perfect for relaxing and taking in the beautiful hillside view.
The kitchen has been updated, and has a vintage flair. It is fully equipped, with a Aga custom stove that includes 4 ovens and 5 burners, a convection microwave oven, and other modern day amenities that make this kitchen perfect for those who wish to prepare a home meal.
There are 2 bathrooms, both which have been updated. The guest bath includes a separate shower and tub, and the master bathroom has a deep soaking tub.
The garden is quite lovely and is equipped with outdoor dining tables, a BBQ grill, and chaise lounge chairs. Access to the garden is on the lower level of the yard and would be shared space with guests residing in the upstairs unit. In the years I have been hosting, most guests are touring Los Angeles, and a few might visit the garden for it's fruits, but most just take in the picturesque garden hillside view from the balcony.
There is potential for noise because there is a rental unit above. We ask all guests to observe the quite hours of 10 pm - 8 am and we have been most fortunate to have had guests who are respectful of the property and house rules. The bedrooms for this unit are situated below the upstairs kitchen and living room. You may hear guests walking upstairs in the morning, if you are a light sleeper or like to sleep in.
Parking is on the street and there are no parking restrictions. We are located in a quiet residential neighborhood and on most occasions you can park in front of the house.
Guest access
Guests are welcome to enjoy the lower level garden which includes a barbecue, tables for dining, fruit trees, and serene hillside view, creating the perfect setting for relaxation.

CHECK IN
Parking is on the street and there are NO PARKING RESTRICTIONS. We are in a quiet residential neighborhood. On most occasions you can park directly in front of the house.
Entry to the unit will be at the rear of the property. You will travel down the side yard pathway to left of the front door. The gate is not locked, simply reach through the gate to slide the latch to the open position. Along side the house, near the last window, you will find a mailbox labeled Airbnb Guests. Reach inside and you will find the key. Continue down the walkway to the end of the house, and to the right you will find the entry doors to your unit. Once inside, you will find the light switch on the wall to the left side of the grandfather clock, and also at the doorway entering the hallway.
General Information about your accommodations
THE FAMILY ROOM
On the bar, you will find a printed copy of the check in and check out instructions, information for grocery stores along with menus to local restaurant's, and instructions for access to the WIFI.
KITCHEN
The kitchen has been updated and has a vintage flair with modern day amenities. Their is a unique Aga stove with four ovens, and six burners. The kitchen has a convection microwave, and sub zero refrigerator equipped with a filtered water dispenser, (inside the refrigerator to the left side), You will find most everything you will need to prepare your favorite meal, including a quaint kitchen nook where you can dine.
Check the cabinets and drawers in the kitchen
and breakfast nook areas for all your cooking essentials. You will also find some kitchen appliances and other kitchen essentials stored in the upper cabinets above the counter in the laundry/hallway area.
A fire extinguisher is located under the sink in the event of an emergency.
HALLWAY/LAUNDRY
The washing machine and dryer are available for your use during your stay. Laundry detergent and an iron can be found in the cabinet above. The ironing board is located inside the cabinet along the same wall as the washer and dryer, closest to the door leading to the bedrooms.
Towels are located in the cabinet above the dryer. Please place used towels in the built in hamper cabinets across from the washer/dryer. We have provided black towels for make up removal and there are disposable make up removal towels in the bathroom cabinets for your convenience. Please use these instead of the regular towels as often times it is very difficult to remove make up stains. You can find clean linens in the hallway closet outside of the bedrooms.
Cleaning supplies are stored in the cabinet above the sink.

MASTER BEDROOM
The master bedroom has a large California King size comfortable bed and an en suite bathroom.
In the master bathroom, there is a deep soaking tub. You will find a hair dryer, an emergency kit, and a few toiletries in the cabinet to the right of the sink.
GUEST BEDROOM AND GUEST BATHROOM
The guest bedroom has a comfortable queen size bed and an armoire to house your personal items. Outside the bedroom is a lovely guest bathroom with a deep soaking tub and separate shower.
REMOVING RUBBISH
When you need to take out the trash, the trash bin is behind the gate to the right side of the garage. The gate is not locked, simply reach through to lift the latch. The trash container is located inside the beige color storage unit. The black trash can is for rubbish.
TAKE OUT ORDERS
If you are ordering take out food for delivery or will have friends or family visiting, please have them call or message you upon arrival so you can greet them, since entry to your unit is at the rear of the property,
THE GARDEN
The garden is available for your enjoyment. You are welcome to use the BBQ and to help yourself to any of the fruits. If you BBQ, you must clean the grill prior to your departure or you will be charged an additional $25 cleaning fee.
The patio furniture may be covered, especially during the winter months. Feel free to remove when you want to relax or dine in the garden. We ask that you please recover the patio furniture prior to your departure if you will be visiting the garden frequently during your stay, or to recover after use during the winter months if there is cool and wet whether.
The front door to the house provides access to office space reserved for the owner, and is separate from your rental unit.
We ask guests to please observe quite hours between 10:00 pm - 8:00 am, keeping the noise to a minimum to be considerate of the neighbors, and guests who may be residing above you.
If anything is damaged or broken, please let us know right away. We understand accidents happen, and appreciate your honesty.
CHECK OUT
Let us know at arrival, or the day prior to your departure, what time you will be checking out
Place all dirty dishes in the dishwasher or wash them
Place used towels and bathrobes in the hampers in the laundry room
Leave the TV remotes and AC remote on the console in the family room or on the ottoman so they are easily located
Turn off lights, AC and heaters
Check everywhere for your belongings!
Take all trash bags and place them in the trash cans inside the storage shed by the driveway behind the gate
Return the keys to the mailbox along the side of the house where you picked them up at check in.
