Being an artist, and world traveler you will find all aspects of this house fully organized, eclectic, beautiful and thoughtful. My photography, as well as the artwork of countless amazing souls I've encountered along the way adorns the house. The overall vibe is incredibly welcoming and every person who comes to my house comments on how amazing it is and how comfortable they feel in the house!

Guest access

Gourmet Kitchen for light usage if kept clean. Full usage for $10/$20 per night depending on needs. Space in refrigerator in kitchen. Use of living room with fireplace, decks and sitting areas in the dining room with amazing morning light makes for the best way to start a day of adventure! Hot tub access, lawn chairs in the front yard with flower and vegetable gardens in the summer. Lawn chairs overlooking the private park and gurgling stream in the back of the house. Deer are abundant!

Interaction with guests

I am a super friendly and helpful person and will be there to check you in and get you familiar with the house. Humans are an amazingly diverse group and I understand the myriad of situations you face as a traveler. Ask and I'll do my best to provide you with anything that will make your stay in Boulder that much more magical!

The neighbourhood

A few things about the neighborhood. Wonderland Lake trail is 100 feet from front door. Hillside plaza is a two minute walk and includes; Lucky's Supermarket with a full range of organic and mainstream offerings, Lucky's Bake House (sweets!), liquor store, coffee shop, Dagabi Fine Italian restaurant, China Gourmet, Lucky's Café for breakfast and lunch, Julia's Organic Restaurant, shipping store, dry cleaners, etc. Be sure to check out the Guidebook Section, I’ve put lots of work into it.
Direct access to amazing trail system. You can do a 20 min walk around Wonderland Lake, add 20 more min by going up on the ridge, or make it a 2 hour hike into the mountains. Skip bus route is 2 minute walk and gets you downtown in 7 minute. 45 minutes from DIA via Northwest Parkway. Minutes to Pearl Street, Chautauqua Hiking Trails, close to Denver, quick drive the quirky town of Nederland, 20 min from Lyons - the gateway to Rocky Mountain Park.

Getting around

Parking is in a private lot near the house, or legally on the streets around the house. Walking will get you to the above mentioned Hillside Plaza. Bus route (Skip) runs up and down Broadway all day long and is 1 min from the house. Bikes are available for rental and will get you downtown in 5 min. It’s really the most amazing location for just about everything!

Other things to note

My house is exquisitely decorated and I keep it very well organized, neat and clean. The room is not lived in and used exclusively for AirBnb. You will have access to all of the room, storage spaces, cabinets, dressers, etc. Many options exist for more space, additional rooms, etc. Check out my other AirBnB Listings by clicking Contact Host directly under the About This Listing, then click my picture in the upper left. On the next screen, scroll down and look on the left to see all four listings I have for this house. There are three ranges of prices for three different rooms, as well as the option to rent the entire house. We have two cruiser bikes for rent ($5-$10/day), camping gear for rent, water bottles for hiking, etc.

House Rules
No smoking
Not suitable for pets
No parties or events
Self check-in with doorman entry

I'm happy to offer you a room in my home, please enjoy it and your vacation. Shoes must be removed in the house - this is important and I ask that you respect this at all time in all areas of the house. As much as I love animals, I don't choose to live with them and unfortunately pets are not allowed unless you have a panda bear. No smoking cigarettes in or around the premises. If you do smoke, please do so at least 100 feet from the house. Keep noise levels outside the house to a minimum (whispers and very quiet) after 9pm and before 8am. The house borders a wonderful park, but noise travels to neighbors. If we have other AirBnB guests staying in the house or I am home, please adjust noise levels accordingly. You are renting the room for the number of guest in your reservation. Any other people visiting the house or staying overnight must be approved in advance . Most importantly, be cool! Everything flows wonderfully with communicative and respectful guests and hosts. AirBnB Rocks!

Benjamin is a wonderful human and one of the the best Airbnb hosts I've experienced (or could imagine). He is not only kind and courteous, but also generous, easy going, flexible, very clear and open in his communication, very clean, understanding, gracious and fun! His place is immaculate, and has very tasteful and beautiful art throughout. He knows what's hip and happening around town - from salsa dancing to performing arts and music. He also offered to rent us bicycles, which I would have really liked to use if we'd had more time in Boulder to relax. I enjoyed all my conversations with him, and look forward to more of them, and to a more relaxing trip to Boulder next time (it was a short trip and the first in many years, thus very busy). He furthermore helped us to print and scan some urgent documents that came up for our business/ escrow. I felt very grateful for this last-minute help. I'm looking forward to getting to know him more on future visits to Boulder and would definitely stay with him again. Thank you Benjamin for a very sweet, supportive stay!

Benjamin's place could not be located any better for anyone wanting to get around Boulder or looking to travel to destinations such as Red Rocks or Estes Park. The house is just off the main thoroughfare but not so close that you notice any traffic. There is a great place for breakfast, coffee, and groceries a mere 5 minute walk away as well as a quick walk in the other direction and you have a beautiful, hilly set of hiking trails. As for the house itself, it is maintained immaculately and every amenity I could possibly think of asking for was readily available. I hope to visit Boulder again and this will be the first place I look for.

Benjamin User ProfileBenjamin is a superhost.

I have lived in Boulder for 19 years and consider myself a forward moving creative entrepreneur. Not religious, but I enjoy a good spiritual conversation from time to time. I grow a vegetable and herb garden every year, ride my bike, listen to music, enjoy the occasional TV series (good ones), love to take pictures and create art. I have a 13 year old daughter that lives with me sometimes (not right now), and travel to see her all the time when she isn't here. I love good conversation, wonderful cooking, excellent wine, fireplaces, hot tubs, candles, books, thoughtful people and courteous driving (unless I'm in a hurry). Life is good and I'm open to sharing the amazing home I've created and inviting you to the magical town of Boulder. I'll give you a hint of what I've discovered here, or a slice if you ask! Looking forward to meeting you and helping to make your visit here awesome!
