This is also a NO shoes house, so please leave them just inside the front door.

Im sure these do not apply to you... I am a long term host and in the past random issues have occurred so its important I reiterate the following, bc sometimes, people are silly;):

-Do NOT hang ANYTHING from the curtain rods whatsoever other than the curtains. No blankets, scarves, etc.

-Please do not eat on the furniture, dining table ONLY.
*If the furniture is stained or a messy accident happens like the french press explodes all over the kitchen, the ceiling, and on to my furniture, you will be charged extra cleaning fees to fix it*

-NO copies of keys whatsoever.
**If you lock yourself out and require assistance, you will be charged**

-Water filter: it will overflow if you fill it too high. Please also mind it, and keep it safe. Its expensive to replace the filters inside and the attachments. I'm so happy to provide you with clean, healthy water and help battle the use of plastic bottles, but keep in mind, do not fill it with anything other then tap water to filter. It takes about an hour to filter all the way through once filled at the top. I have to charge you should it break/ be misused.

Additional guidelines:
Trash gets taken out daily, easy bins to use for recycling and regular trash in the hallway ... pls recycle your cans, bottles, paper:):). Leaving it long term, not such a good plan in the city.

Communication: guests need to be accessible via text or if you are based outside the US pls use Whats app for mobile. If you dont have it, download it before arrival. Its the fastest and best way to communicate with all international guests, and myself to you when I am traveling for work abroad.

Check in: usually set after 1pm, check out is usually 11am. If you need special arrangements, pls let me know BEFORE booking so we can coordinate. If you request a late check out, I will do my best to accommodate.

Check out rules: 11am (unless otherwise agreed). All keys are left on the hall table. All bins must be emptied of rubbish. Paper products must not be left empty (as noted above this is a community based system). Apartment must be left in good condition. Any dirty towels pls place in a pile on the bathroom floor.
Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: you must notify when you are on your way into the City from the airport... you will need to do that via wifi or cellular.

**Relatives living in the City cannot pick up keys early for you. Registered guests only**
**There is a special business in the area that will hold your bags for a low price if you need more time after check out before you leave for the airport post check out, very handy!**

A sincere thank you in advance for respecting my home.

Kira was a great host. She went out of her way to be there for check in despite our delays from the airport. She gave us loads of local recommendations for the area, which is awesome. Loved the location, so many great places within just a few blocks. The apartment was really lovely, spacious and clean in a great block. The elevator and roof terrace are a real bonus. Breakfast on the roof terrace with the NY skyline was so nice. Would highly recommend Kira's place :)

A great stay was had at Kira's flat at Lower East Side. Kira was very responsive and gave us some great tips for places to eat and things to do at the neighbourhood. The flat is close to good cafes, independent shops and restaurants. I'd recommend the place for sure!

Kira's apartment was perfect base for our stay in LES, and she was super helpful pre check-in with info and details to make the process very smooth. Although she was out of town her delightful cleaner was there to meet us with the keys and show us the facilities. Up on the 7th floor the apartment is beautifully bright and sunny, and also away from the street. The building is accessed through a secure lobby from the street and then via lift to the 7th floor, so feels very secure. Everywhere is spotlessly clean. Both bedrooms are spacious with really comfortable beds and the separate bathroom is also large. The small kitchen is equipped with essentials so we could prepare our own breakfast. We loved the water filter! Whole Foods Market is 10 minutes walk and there are numerous small corner stores within 2 minutes. The roof terrace in on the 12th floor (accessed) by the lift and has amazing views, especially at night. The terrace was much appreciated by the smoker in the family! LES is a vibrant, edgy and exciting neighbourhood. There's lots of small businesses here which make for a lively bustling environment, but also this is historically how this neighbourhood has always been. There's so much to do and see; my highlights were...... Tenement Museum, Orchard Street - the Educators are brilliant so make sure to take the tours, especially the walking tour of the neighbourhood Freemans, Freeman Alley, off Rivington - fabulous ambiance and food to die for (not bad cocktails either :) Shops, shops, shops......great little indie boutiques and (so far) unspoiled by the bigger stores Meow Parlour - if you're missing your felines (I was), then head around the corner and enjoy coffee and cats! Final Tip - if you need luggage storage for your departure day (we had 12 hrs between check out and our flights), use CityCoPilot on Allen St, 10 mins walk from Kira's place. $10 per bag and they'll arrange your airport transfer too.

Thank you for your detailed review Tamaris!!:) it truly delights me to hear you and your family had such a beautiful time. The LES is my favorite place to be in NYC and sharing it's vibrancy with others is such a joy. Many thanks for appreciating the Berkey water filter as well!! Providing PROPERLY filtered water to my guests and saving against plastic bottles is very important to me. You are just the kind of guest a host loves to welcome into their home :). Welcome back anytime, travel safely!!

This is a great place to stay if you want a taste of the real New York-surrounded by many restaurants, cafes, bars and boutiques in the heart of the vibrant Lower East Side. You are a short walk from Chinatown, Little Italy , Nolita and Soho- perfect areas to stroll around and feel the vibe of Lower Manhattan. The apartment is spacious and clean and tidy , and accessed via an elevator( so no stairs !!) and through a secure ground floor entrance into the building. With two double bedrooms and an open-plan living/kitchen space , it is more than big enough for a family or two couples. We were welcomed by Kira's housekeeper , Senora Lenora , who was very helpful, as Kira was out of town. But don't let that worry you, as Kira was super responsive to any query we had and even gave us some local recommended spots to check out. As a host I would rate Kira as very attentive , and as I say , super responsive-nothing was too much trouble. I would be very happy to both recommend this apartment and indeed stay here again. Thanks for an enjoyable stay in NYC Kira Ian

Kira's apartment is located in one of the most exciting areas in NYC. I stayed with my brother and my dad, so I wanted a place that was comfortable, relatively quiet and in good condition. My expectations were more than fulfilled. Set in the 7th floor of a modern building with elevator, Kira’s place features loads of natural light, making your stay even a bit more pleasant. There was enough room for the three of us, and even a group of 4 would enjoy a very comfortable stay in this contemporary looking space. Although we couldn’t meet in the end due to circumstances she made sure someone of her confidence was there to hand the keys on our arrival. We kept in touch during our stay and she was helpful with our requests. Waking up early to enjoy a nice cup of coffee in any of the hip cafés in the area is the perfect way to start your days in NYC. I would definitely recommend Kira’s apartment to anyone looking for a comfortable and very convenient stay in New York.

This apartment is super spacious if you compare it to a hotel room, aircon in all rooms and located in the middel of lower east side. Many good breakfast/dining places around the nighbourhood. Only a few blocks from Soho and going trough chinatown morning and nights is super cozy, give you a feeling of been in Asia :) I love it. NYC is a big city, bring your best snikers! Would love to stay here again.
