The space
At Sunnyville House we aim to offer reasonably priced accomodation for you. Anyone needing a base in North Lincolnshire for work or leisure is welcome here.

Hygeine and cleanliness is not compromised in our otherwise "budget accomodation". We got through Covid fully booked by contractors, and had zero contamination between bookings, and intend to keep it that way. Owners live next door and manage the rental themselves for direct accountability. Rule 1 is that guests report any problems straight away.

For you there is : fully equipped modern kitchen, lounge, large wet room /shower, dining room and outside seating area plus however many bedrooms you have booked up to 4.

You get to choose which bedrooms you want at the commencement of your stay, if less than all 4 bedrooms are reserved in your booking.

All the bedrooms have a TV and private wash basin, and all bedrooms are lockable. Clean bedlinen (hot ironed) and towels are provided weekly during your stay. This is all part of the service.

>> Please note Bedroom 2 is EITHER 2 x single beds OR 1 x superking - please specify which configuration you prefer when requesting to book. <<

We do not accept bookings unless you fill in how many people are in your group honestly! We meet all guests in person and live next door, so if you book for three people and turn up with eight people you will need to pay the extra.

Sunnyville is ideal for all types of travellers, holiday makers, specialist contractors/engineers and business people alike who want a "home from home". Peaceful, homely, and of a high standard, Sunnyville is simply a decent house offering reasonably priced short term accomodation for everyone. We dont have hot tubs (or the related bacteria!) but we do have comfy beds and very high standards of cleanliness, amenities and comfort. One chef who stayed recently said it was the best equipped kitchen he had ever stayed in in a holiday let.

For holiday makers Sunnyville is both well equipped and affordable for walkers, cyclists, visits to friends and family, and exploring the area.
For business people you will find a home from home here, great wifi, tables and work areas plus friendly but private owners next door should you need anything.

Secure yard parking for up to 4-5 motorbikes and many more bicycles. Private drive for one car plus free parking on the lane. Complete Sky Wifi is included and each bedroom has a TV and private sink.

There is a private patio area outside the kitchen door with table and chairs. Guests may enjoy our gardens by invitation on the proviso that you be aware of many trip hazards and a very deep unfenced pond/lake.
We also run New Holland Hen Rescue which includes up to 50 hens and our cockerel Hughie, plus cats.

Thank you for browsing our listing, we hope to meet you soon!
Samantha and John O'Boyle.

Where you’ll be

North Lincolnshire, England, United Kingdom

New Holland is a very quiet village but very well located for lots of locations including Immingham, Hull, Scunthorpe, Grimsby all of Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. We are about 15 minutes drive from Humberside Airport.
Sunnyville is in a very small, quiet village just minutes away from the major road and rail networks.

North Lincolnshire is within easy reach of Yorkshire, its 90 minutes drive to the Yorkshire Moors and Dales, Derbyshire Dales a little further but accessable. The East Linconshire coastline is fascinating as is "Bomber County". We are surrounded by former military WW2 bases.

The River Humber is the main driving force around these parts naturally. Here on the South Bank blue clay was discovered and soon kilns were a major part of local industry. The South Bank of the Humber is dotted with clay pits large and small. Finished goods - tiles and bricks could easily be transported to Victorian and Edwardian London via boat during the expansion of London in the 19th and 20th centuries during the great expanse of London.

Only two of the original clay kilns still work. They only produce tiles and bricks for renovations of Grade Listed building now. It is reputed that Windsor Castle had local craftsmen help after the terrible fire in 1992.

The other reason New Holland is known for is its Railway history and transport links. For over 140 years New Holland was the main transport hub from what is now East Yorkshire to Lincolnshire via the ferry that went from New Holland to Hull, and at one time, Hessle.

It wasnt until the Humber Bridge was finished that New Holland Ferries to Hull ceased, and New Holland became a village rather than a transport hub.

The Humber Bridge is a 2.22 km, single-span road suspension bridge, which opened to traffic on 24 June 1981. When it opened, the bridge was the longest of its type in the world; it was not surpassed until 1998

Walkers or Ramblers can walk the whole Humber Bank from this village, and over the beautiful bridge too. We are also still blessed with a train station. New Holland.

We hope you choose to visit New Holland. It is an unassuming place, but with a lot of history.

Sunnyville House is two miles from the nearest shop, but has virtually zero crime. A small village of less than 1000 people, our location is safe for your person and your car.
There is a local pub a very short walk, at the end of the lane. The nearest pub serving food is a short drive down a remote country lane - about 1.5 miles so is walk-able too.
All we have is peace and quiet, very little traffic, safe parking and a secure, private space.
