This privately and newly owned lodge has been lovingly decorated in a Scottish theme throughout which incorporates tartans & an over and above inventory for your enjoyment and comfort. From a birdwatching scope, to picnic hamper and PlayStation, there is something here for everyone. Glen Muir lodge welcomes you with Tea and coffee included in our welcome pack after your long drive.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome for a £20 surcharge. Sleeps up to 4 guests in beds and a child on a sofa bed. Cot also available.
The entrance leads into a short hallway. The master bedroom with mood lighting has a double bed with 2 bedside tables with drawers, a fitted wardrobe and an en suite shower room with a shower cubicle, toilet, vanity sink and underfloor heating. The second bedroom has two full sized single beds and 2 wardrobes. The main bathroom has a bath with shower over, toilet, underfloor heating and vanity sink. All newly decorated throughout.
There is an open plan fully equipped kitchen with a living area that has a TV, DVD player and a set top box to pause and record live TV, plus a range of DVDs & Playstation with a range of retro games. There is also an assortment of adult and children’s books available too. Complimentary Wi-fi is included in the lodge and there is a Bluetooth DAB hifi & CD player and two socket charging points for your phones in the lounge.
The patio door opens onto a brick patio with a picnic bench and unobstructed views of Loch Oich.
The kitchen has a microwave, dishwasher, electric oven and hob, fridge with freezer compartment and a Dolce Gusto coffee machine (pods not supplied). There is also a washer/dryer for your convenience. The dining area has a lovely wooden dining table and chairs and there are comfortable sofas in the lounge area for enjoying the panoramic view whilst relaxing. On the rear of the lodge is a ski rack for those bringing their own skis in the winter season.
At the back of the site is the Great Glen Way, the coast to coast route for walkers and cyclists which goes from Fort William to Inverness along the banks of the Caledonian Canal, which includes Loch Ness. There is access to Loch Oich (mooring available) and a water sports company on site and the Inver Garry railway museum and working engine is just behind the site. Fort Augustus, a charming village which sits at the bottom of Loch Ness, is only 8 miles away. For ski-ng the Nevis Range is about a 25 minute drive.
