Gaston and Jenny were extremely responsive, and often replied to our queries and requests promptly. Prior to our trip, they messaged us with detailed travel directions to get to their place. Check-in and check-out was also seamless: Gaston came to hand us the keys personally out of his busy schedule, and even showed up early at 6:30am on a Saturday to meet us when we checked out. The studio apartment was lovely, well-equipped and well-located in a lively and young neighbourhood! Lots and lots of food options around at night, and several grocery stores in the vicinity. This stay was definitely the highlight of our road trip around Germany so far.

A fantastic stay. Everything was well managed, the flat was equipped with virtually everything you could need (I did miss an oven, though). Gaston made himself available to answer any questions, and was always prompt and helpful. Concerning the location- it is absolutely fantastic. Walkable to the Altstadt, Dresden Neustadt Bahnhof, Alaun Park. The flat is right in the centre of one of the coolest neighbourhoods outside of Berlin. I would love to stay here again.

The apartment was very nice and well furnished. They had just purchased a new bed which was soft and comfortable. Everything was very clean and was as described. It is worth noting that the location of the apartment is in a very noisy area and you will hear people outside all throughout the night so if you are a light sleeper, beware. The apartment is close to many food choices, a supermarket, and public transportation. We had a car and street parking was easy and free right in front of the apartment. I did have communication issues during the check-in process that was frustrating and almost resulted in me finding a hotel so be sure to determine how you are going to meet in extreme detail. Also, you must meet in person in order to get into the apartment.

Response from Gaston:
Dear Jason, thank you for your comment. We are very pleased that you like our fully equipped apartement. Indeed it is located in the middle of the quarter with the youngest population in Europe, a quarter with a lot of bars, restaurants and museum. There is a lot to see and to do. The apartement is equipped with soundproofed windows - most of our guests slept well during the night like they mentioned. Jason forgot to update his mobile number, which is absolutly necessary to stay connected when you are late or arrive earlier as expected. We are living around the corner and need details about your arrival. Me or one of my close friends, we'll welcome you at the front door. Even our lovely neighbours are very helpful and let you inside. But be aware - inside the old staircase with massive walls from 1826 you may have no connection to internet and no chance to contact us by phone.

Nice Appartment with a good location in Dresden. If you're going out in Dresden super placed! We had a nice stay and enjoyed the supermarket with a bakery only 100m away from the appartment. The host was super nice and supplied us with more information about the city than you could possibly wish! If you plan to stay longer and want to sleep at 10 pm the appartment might be located to good for party people.. It can get a bit noisy during the night.

Gaston met us at the apartment on a very warm day in Dresden. We loved the area that this apartment is in - walking distance from everything but not in a touristy neighbourhood (think cheap food and drinks). The apartment itself was clean and tidy, bed was super comfortable - we had a great stay. As people have mentioned, occasionally you can hear street noise but it's nothing out of the ordinary and we would stay again :)

A clean apartment in the lively part of town that offers many food options (check out Oswaldz around the corner). There is also a supermarket along the street. As the apartment is just above the street level, it can get noisy. Keeping windows closed helped somewhat. There is no elevator in the building. Public parking is available along the street at €3 per day. Early check-in did not work out, albeit committed. Jenny explained the circumstances. Nevertheless, we were lucky we could leave luggages in our car to go sightseeing.

Ik kom uit Belgien-Brugge. Woon reeds 12 jaar in Dresden.
