The space

The apartment can accommodate up to 8 people, 3 families. The apartment has three floors, which total 1,300 sq. ft. a very large fully equipped kitchen. 2 bathrooms with shower/sink/bidet/toilet + washing machine. Second floor: Kitchen with exposed wood-beamed ceiling, a dining table with eight chairs, sofas and armchairs, and windows overlooking a picturesque Burano alleyway. Third floor: A wooden staircase leads to the upper floor where there is a very large living room with a sofa and armchairs, two windows, television, and air conditioning. On the same floor, there are two 270 sq. ft. bedrooms, with three double beds, single beds on request. Fourth floor: Another wooden staircase leads to a wooden attic, where a cozy bedroom with private bathroom can be found. Terrace. Another staircase takes us to a balcony, high above the rooftops, where you can peer into the sky and appreciate a very impressive view. Guests can use the entire apartment, which they have to their sole use. I do not live in the apartment, ensuring total privacy. This big, cozy, and quiet apartment in a typical Burano alleyway lets you experience the local beauty, as well as be on vacation while feeling at home. 1) How to get to the island of Burano: a) If arriving by plane from MARCO POLO-VENICE Airport, you have 2 options: the first is to take the VAPORETTO - BLU LINE in the direction of ALILAGUNA, getting off at Fondamente Nove, cross the Fondamente Nove bridge of to your right and take the BURANO - LINE 12 (at night it becomes LINEA NOTTURNO LAGUNA NORD). It will take about 35 minutes to get to Burano. The second option is to take a bus to Piazzale Roma, then vaporetto number 4.2 or 5.2 going to Fondamente Nove. Cross the Fondamente Nove bridge (to your right) and take the via BURANO - LINEA 12 (at night it becomes LINEA NOTTURNO LAGUNA NORD). It will take about 35 minutes to get to Burano). b) If arriving at the VENEZIA-SANTA LUCIA train station: Leave the station facing the VENICE - GRAND CANAL lagoon, and go left for about 325 ft. along the canal, you will come upon a bridge (Ponte degli Scalzi). To the left of the bridge, there is the vaporetto stop for lines 4.2 and 5.2 in the direction of Fondamente Nove. Once at Fondamente Nove, cross the Fondamente Nove bridge (on your right) and take BURANO-12 LINE (at night it becomes LAGUNA NORD NIGHT LINE). It will take about 35 minutes to get to Burano. 2) Once you get to BURANO: Exiting the VAPORETTO, immediately turn left, follow the road, on the left hand side. You will come upon a wooden bridge; cross the bridge and take the second street on your left. At the end of this street, there is a red house at number 521/23. You're there. Various tips: a) Before taking the vaporetto, it is always best to ask where it is headed to. b) Another important thing: a single VAPORETTO ride costs about €6.50. Therefore, coming Venice, it is best to look up ticket options for public transportation ("Principali Tariffe"), and choose the best for you, according to your needs (transportation within Venice and to the islands of MURANO and BURANO, visiting museums, etc.). c) I also recommend that when you're in BURANO, go to two restaurants very near my house near the brick bridge that offer good quality and prices. d) If you are in Piazza San Marco and want to go back to BURANO (or vice versa), you have to go towards the lagoon after the Doge's Palace (to the left), continue until you get to the stop, S. MARCO - SAN ZACCARIA – PIETA’ (very close to the Hotel METROPOLE). From here, the VAPORETTO leaves for LIDO - PUNTA SABBIONI (in Punta Sabbioni, change to TREPORTI - BURANO (it will take about 70 minutes in total) The vaporetto line is - LINEA 14 - 15.

Burano is a MAGICAL place and so is this apartment. The rooftop terrace was wonderful, and the house felt homely.

Such a lovely place to stay! Very welcoming and relaxing. Everything you need is found in the house and the location is superb. Being on Burano as a base for exploring Venice is perfect. I would love to go back and stay longer.

Really enjoyed our stay! “Charlie” was excellent, picking us up from the water taxi stop and walking with us to the house, giving us a history lesson on the way. The house was beautiful and very close to the main square.

We had a great visit to the island and enjoyed Flippo’s beautiful home. His place is filled with cool spaces to sleep, read, relax and enjoy a meal. After the rush of getting here it is a welcome retreat. Fillipo was basically on speed dial and answered every and all question we had once we got here. We were met at the water taxi but his father who showed around a shared with us all we need to know.

Filippo was wonderful and picked my girl at the vaporetto station; the terrace was a great thing to sit and have breakfast!

This place is in a fantastic location and the amenities are excellent. The host was there to greet us and explain all the things about the island which we thought was a nice touch. You can't go wrong here.
