This unique home was purchased Fall 2019. Gail & I came out of retirement to renovate it with a completely new kitchen, vinyl plank flooring & new deck.

This 3 bedroom lakehouse is very secluded within about a hour drive from Lynchburg, Roanoke or Danville.

The private dock and boat ramp are especially convenient.

Keep an eye out for eagles, osprey, deer, turkeys, otters, geese & herons.

Most major mobile phone service providers have a fair signal but there's NO wifi.

The space
This lakehouse is a 3 bedroom Sears & Roebuck 'kit home' built in 1974 with 3 beds & a sleeper sofa in the livingroom on one level.
It has a wraparound newly renovated upper deck on the house with patio furniture and a propane grill.
Bring the steaks and burgers!!

The home's furnishings are very modest but functional. The attraction is really the outdoors :-)

The large lower deck connecting the dock is easily accessible down through the sloping yard about 50 feet from the house.

The kayaks, canoes, paddle boat & paddle board are available for $20 each for your entire visit.

The dock with a swim ladder
can be used for swimming, fishing and docking your boat.
Check with Leesville Lake Marina for a boat rental well in advance.

The dock might be shared occasionally by us and family when they're visiting at least to access our boat.

I was answering a couple questions for guest In which most folks might be interested.
In mid-July, the water temperature is around 80° down at least 3'.
Frequently, on hot evenings or cold mornings the hydroelectric generation increases from our sister lake (Smith Mountain Lake).
If & when that occurs (9 miles up Leesville Lake) water flow (current) is noticeable and the warm stratification is somewhat disturbed and the water is noticeably cooler. Temperature stratification disturbance will also occur when there's much wind.

When there's prolonged hydroelectric generation, the water level can increase 6' or more (similar to a tide coming in).
When the water level comes up considerably, driftwood usually floats out from the shore making it risky for jetski operation in late afternoons & evenings. Finger size pieces of wood will be sucked in through the grate and might be caught by the impeller.
We usually have no shortage of wood for campfires or occasionally bonfires :-)

We love it here secluded in the South woods of Bedford County.
We enjoy the 1 mile (round trip) private driveway for morning exercise or evening strolls where we're the only full time residents just a couple hundred yards up from the lakehouse.
Disregard any posted - "No Trespassing" signs while on our driveways during your rental.

If it gets too quiet :-) or on a rainy day, our guests can enjoy the 65" TV with a few broadcasted TV stations or a small assortment of movies in the corner cabinet.
If interested, we have a large selection of movies to loan.
Text me for a movie list.

AirBNB says we have bragging rights as 'SuperHost' four quarters running.

BUT, we give God the praise & the glory for us being able to have the opportunity & the ability to afford this neighboring property when our neighbor, Don, died in 2019. Don had put my name in his will for his family to offer to sell to us before anyone else.

Praise the Lord we don't have anyone living in our backyard that we don’t approve of.

We offer the guest house for AirBNB bookings to off-set cost & expenses when it's not being used by family or friends.

A couple of our neighbors use the boat ramp occasionally.

The lakehouse is so secluded, the only neighbor in view is across or on the other side of the boat ramp. They're usually down on holiday weekends.
