The space
The so-called "Neustadt" is a half-timbered house that today houses a total of 5 modern but cozy apartments.
The apartment on the first floor has two bedrooms, each with a double bed, a living/dining room with an integrated, fully furnished kitchen with a dining area, a bathroom with a shower and toilet and a hallway with a wardrobe. In the living room there are two additional built-in beds that can be used as a sofa or beds (with slatted frames), making the apartment for total. Sleeps 6 guests. A baby cot can be provided in both bedrooms.
Equipment: The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator with fridge-freezer, stove with ceramic hob, oven, toaster, Nespresso capsule coffee machine (on request a filter coffee machine is also available) as well as all common kitchen utensils such as pots, pans, cutlery, cups, plates, glasses. In addition, you will find dishwasher detergent, dish sponge, kitchen towels as well as garbage bags and an initial ration of paper towels (Zewa).
Beds are made and towels for the bathroom are provided. Sauna towels and towels for swimming in the lake are to be brought with you.
A washing machine is at your disposal free of charge, but must be shared with other guests. For a rainy day, the apartment is equipped with a TV with cable connection, Wi-Fi is available and included in the price.
Arrival: The apartment will be ready for you from 3 pm. After 3 pm, we can welcome you at any time. Please contact us by phone about 30 minutes before your arrival at the house (please call, a message is not enough), we will then wait for you at the house. Earlier arrival is only possible upon availability and on request. Feel free to talk to us.
Departure: The apartment must be vacated by 10 a.m. For a late departure, we charge €20 per hour in prison. Please contact us in advance if you would like to leave later.
Arrival by car: There are public car parking spaces in the vicinity of the house (for a fee) and a parking garage at ZOB train station (10 min. walk, also for a fee). If desired and still available, you can rent a car parking space directly at the house for €8/day from us. In principle, one car parking space per apartment is available – if other guests arrive by train also more. The fee for the parking space is NOT included in the AirBnB price because we would like to support guests arriving by train in the choice of your means of transportation. The car parking space must be paid in cash upon arrival. Please contact us if you are interested.
With the family: Small families are as welcome with us as well as solo travelers. However, our apartments are not equipped with safety devices for infants (socket covers, etc.). We have some high chairs and cribs that we are happy to provide you with. If the crowds are very high, it can get scarce. It applies: who comes first..... So if there is a need, feel free to contact us.
Bikes: If you want to bring your bikes, you can park them behind the house. Please bring a lock as there is no fenced area/ covered area for the bikes. Please note: The bikes can in no case be taken into the house or the apartment nor can they remain in the transport devices on the car (not enough space).
Tourist tax: We would also like to inform you that every guest who stays as a tourist in Überlingen has to pay a tourist tax to the city. There are exceptions for business travelers, people with disabilities and children under the age of 16. Since these exceptions cannot be represented via the default setting at AirBnB, we collect the tourist tax from you upon your arrival in cash and hand you the REAL BODENSEECARD (EBC). There are some advantages associated with the EBC, such as reduced entrance to the beach baths and free use of public transport - please contact the tourist information in Überlingen for more information. In order to make your arrival with us as smooth as possible, after booking, we will let you know what information we need from you to prepare the cards.
The amount of the tourist tax for 2025 is as follows:
- 01. April - 31 October: 3,50€/person, children up to 16 years are exempt
- all other dates: €2.60/person, children up to 16 years are exempt
