Visiting Brooklyn? Why stay at a hotel? Enjoy the charm of historic tree-lined blocks and stately brownstones with a stay at Gallerie St. Charles.

The Gallerie St. Charles, an art-rich renovated top floor of a Brooklyn brownstone, is conveniently located near world-famous Brooklyn cultural attractions and Manhattan is a short subway ride away.

Set on quaint St. Charles Place, one block from landmark, tree-lined Eastern Parkway, Gallerie St. Charles is walking distance from internationally-renowned Brooklyn Museum, the Botanic Gardens, the Brooklyn Public Library’s Central branch and Prospect Park.

Coffee shops, burger havens and gourmet delis are just 2 short blocks away. And there’s free on-street parking and garage parking for a fee two blocks away.

Lower Manhattan landmarks and midtown Manhattan attractions are 20 minutes and 30 minutes away, respectively, making Broadway theaters, world—class shopping and restaurants easily and quickly accessible options.

An IRT subway station with eastside Manhattan express trains and west side Manhattan-bound local trains is 1½ blocks from Gallerie St. Charles.

Park Slope neighborhood’s shops and eateries and Downtown Brooklyn’s cultural institutions, like the Brooklyn Academy of Music and the MoCADA museum, are even closer.

We had a great month here. There are several great restaurants and bars, as well as prospect park and Brooklyn museum within walking distance. Only a 3 minute walk to the subway for the 2,3,4 and 5 trains so getting pretty much anywhere in Brooklyn and Manhattan is very easy within 15-45 minutes. The place itself is spacious and comfortable, great value given NY prices, and Linda was great to communicate with and very accommodating. Really appreciated being allowed to check out late. Highly recommended.

Linda was a great host - very helpful and kind. Her place was amazing - spacious and with unique style. What was very important for us - the subway was just 4 minutes away from the apartament. In the neighborhood there are plenty of good restaurants and pubs (we strongly recommend Bagel Pub). If you are looking for a place with unbelievably comfortable bed you should consider Linda's place - we spent all days walking around the city and it was a great pleasure to rest in bed so big and comfy after 14 hours of sightseeing ;)

We loved the apartment. Its perfect.. warm and inviting and surrounded by lots of art and collectables. Its in a very lively vibey neighbourhood, walking distance to the wonderful Brooklyn Museaum and Brooklyn Gardens and Prospect Park and Grand Army Plaza. The train is round the corner. Shops restaurants, laundromats, coffee shops like Pulpnbean( great bagels).., we were there for a month and were very comfortable, slept well with no disturbances. Good internet. Linda and Wayne are both very like-able and responds to any queries within a few hrs. We will be back very soon

It was like home away from home. We felt so comfortable and our kids did not really want to go back to Maryland. We would do it again.

Linda User ProfileLinda is a superhost.

I am an international traveler and I understand the needs of those who travel on a budget. My travels include traveling to Ghana, West Africa with The Experiment in International Living, Germany, Amsterdam, Iceland, and throughout the Caribbean. My passion is fine art and I have worked on numerous art projects throughout my lifetime. My greatest adventure in the arts was traveling to the island of Anguilla and participating in the first International Arts Festival on that island. One of the five artists that traveled with me was the grand prize winner and has been celebrated with a postage stamp of the art piece that won the contest. 43 artists from around the world participated. I enjoy meeting people and enhancing their travel experience when they visit New York and Washington, DC. I am very resourceful and always willing to be of assistance. Traveling is theraputic and I enjoy knowing that the experience is rewarding for my guests as much as it is for me when I travel.
