Hafan Refail is a comfortable, tastefully decorated and fully equipped, one bedroom self-catering cottage for 2-3 with own garden area in a quiet rural setting. Dating back to 19th century, Hafan Refail is ideally situated for exploring Anglesey, Snowdonia and North Wales

The space
Hafan Refail is a cosy single storey cottage dating back to the 19th century. It has a comfortable sitting room with an attractive inglenook fireplace (with ‘woodburner’ electric fire for additional heat) and exposed beams in the light and airy room. The kitchen-diner is well-equipped with electric induction hob, microwave/convection oven and grill, fridge (including small freezer compartment), dining table and chairs. The bedroom is a good size for 2-3 people with either twin beds or a superking bed plus a Z-bed comfy (6'4") mattress for the third person, if required. The bathroom has a small shower, basin and toilet. There is a useful crog loft for storage. There are views of the gardens from all windows.

Guest access
The cottage has a delightful garden for the exclusive use of Hafan Refail visitors, with garden furniture and barbecue. Cars can be parked in the owner’s drive under the carport. Kayak and bike storage can be arranged. Village shops, pub, café and take-aways are all within 5 minutes drive.

Other things to note

When booking, please state whether you will require 2 single beds or 1 superking double bed in the bedroom.

Location

Dwyran, Wales, United Kingdom

Hafan Refail is situated on the edge of the quiet village of Dwyran, on the south-westerly side of Anglesey. Plas Newydd, National Trust, Hootons Farm Shop and Brynsiencyn Heritage Cafe all offer refreshments along the A4080 once over the bridge. The Red Squirrel Cafe in Newborough is another firm favourite for their all-day breakfasts.

Undoubtedly, the jewel of the area is Newborough Forest and Llanddwyn Island, famous for its lighthouse, geological interest and its historical and spiritual heritage.

The picturesque villages of Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch (the village with the longest name, more conveniently known as Llanfair PG!) and Menai Bridge are just a short drive from the cottage. If you like the mountains, it only takes half an hour to get to Snowdonia or to visit the castles of Beaumaris and Caernarfon.
Further details can be found in the Information File on arrival.
