This casita is part of a charming Spanish colonial 4 plex located in a quiet, historic neighborhood. It is very close to the University of Arizona, the 4th Avenue shopping/dining district and a 20 minute walk to the downtown business district.

The space

We offer a charming one bedroom /one bath casita located in a quiet historic neighborhood within walking distance to the University of Arizona and the 4th Avenue shopping district. This apartment is well equipped with everything you'll need for a relaxing stay. The bedroom has a comfortable queen size bed with luxurious linens. Other amenities include central air conditioning/heating, flat panel LED TV with Direct TV, and wireless internet connection. The original oak floors have been refinished bringing a warmth to the interior along with many windows which bring in an abundance of light. This casita shares a private outdoor courtyard complete with a gas bbq grill, dining table, a set of chaise lounges, and a fire pit area with adirondack chairs to enjoy a warm sunny afternoon or star filled evening.
Over the past four years, this Spanish colonial property has been lovingly renovated inside and out to bring back its southwestern charm.

This property is a non-smoking residence, however, smoking is allowed in the courtyard area.

Guest access

Guests have access to the basement apartment which has been converted into a common room with complimentary laundry facilities.
We also provide two complimentary commuter bikes if you care to get around by bicycle during your stay.
This property is a non-smoking residence, however, smoking is allowed in the courtyard area.
Reserved off street parking is provided in the rear of the property.
There is also an extra bedroom available to any guest (on a first requested, first served basis). If you have a family member or friend visit during your stay and they want a more private sleeping space, this room can be an alternate solution. It is located directly off the courtyard (look for the building with french doors near the fire pit). There is a nominal charge for use of this space.

Interaction with guests

Whenever possible I will personally check in/check out guests. I live just a few miles from the casitas and will be available if needs arise. However, I do respect the privacy of guests during their stay.

Other things to note

In the basement common room, there is a small resource library filled with guide books for hiking, biking, and taking in the sites around southern Arizona. You are welcome to use these books during your stay.... we just ask you to please return them before you check out!

Ross was wonderful. He provided lots of help, instructions, as well as a list of nearby restaurants and shopping. The unit is not large, but very charming and well equipped. A delightful experience.

We arrived a bit tired and travel worn. Host Ross met us at the door and provided a gracious introduction to the site. It was very helpful and we appreciated it a lot given the circumstances. The facility, an older structure (circa 1930s) has been recently renovated for the purpose to which it is being used, very nicely. We were very comfortable in every respect for our visit of four nights. I would recommend this to any traveler who would prefer to lodge in a neighborhood of residences rather than by a freeway. The facility is very convenient to the University of Arizona. Morning coffee on the patio was very nice. Host Ross provided excellent recommendations regarding things around town. We were very pleased from start to finish. Thank you!
